St. Michael the Archangel Can You Please Defend Us from the Vatican Sculpture?

Posted on 20:18 by Unknown
Traditionally St. Michael the Archangel is depicted in sculptures, icons, and holy cards wearing full armor and in a manly pose fighting God's enemy the devil. Here are a few traditional views of the great archangel:

Now take a look at the new sculpture of St. Michael placed in the Vatican garden unveiled and dedicated on July 5th with both Pope Francis and Pope Emeritus Benedict present. It is anything but manly, traditional, or clothed in armor. This nearly nude St. Michael stands, not in a position of strength, but like a girl arching her back for a Victoria's Secret ad with his left arm and hand in a very feminine position. And where exactly is he jabbing that spear?

Now this is what the statue reminds me of: Just turn her in the other direction, give her a spear, and take her clothes off and voila -- St. Michael..

But maybe the sculptor had Victoria's Secret in mind all along. This angel actually has on more clothes than the Vatican's poor St. Michael. Under the Vatican dress code this St. Michael is banned from St. Peter's. Somebody cover him up with a Fatima T-shirt!

Wasn't There a Single Decent Person to Yell, "STOP?"

"A St. Paul, Minn., man is in a coma today, fighting for his life after a black mob beat him, stripped his clothes off and left him for dead. Even if he recovers, he will have permanent brain damage."

Man in coma after black mob of 50 pummels him

A young white man thinks he's safe living in a black neighborhood. And now he may die, but will definitely be permanently brain damaged. Where are the decent black men and women in these situations who demand thugs stop? If I saw a group of white guys beating up a black, I would try to stop them. Did anyone try to prevent this? Decency in the inner cities appears to be dead. No wonder Jesus said to "flee the cities."

Obama's Climate Plan Disaster

Protected bald eagle killed by wind turbines.
All you animal lovers out there take note!

Obama's Wind Turbine Plan would escalate the aviary holocaust. Turbines already kill 1.4 million birds and bats every year and he wants to greatly expand wind farms. Consider that the death toll goes on and on and what do we get for it? Three percent of our energy needs. The final question: how much do you love mosquitoes and other bugs? There will be lots more of them! Remember The Silent Spring? There's more than one way to decimate the bird population.

How Disney Helped Spread the Population Control Propaganda

Posted on 17:01 by Unknown

Read more about how this came about here and here.

And then consider the inherent racism of this video which was made during Paul Ehrlich population bomb hysteria period. A bunch of white elitists make a film showing a Hispanic couple labeled as "everyman." Then consider that most Hispanic countries are majority Catholic countries. This film was shot across the bow to the Catholic Church which encourages generosity in life giving. The battle has always been between the culture of death and the Lord of Life and His Church. That Disney allowed itself to be used to create this anti-family propaganda piece is amazing. It's like Pampers supporting Planned Parenthood (which they have). Nothing like urging the elimination of your customer base. But then sin makes you stupid!

Religious of the Sacred Heart of Florence

Posted on 11:30 by Unknown
A friend of mine has a daughter who joined an Italian religious order called the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Florence. They were founded by St. Madeleine Sophie Barat in 1800 as contemplative cloistered order consecrated to the Heart of Jesus and dedicated to the education of youth. Today they are educating Italian youth and offer a real hope for the future. Here's a wonderful summary of what's happening there:

Saving Souls in Italy: With Help the Italians are Returning to Catholicism
A new appreciation for children is awakening in Italy. For the past several decades the Italian birth rate has been one of the lowest in Europe and well below the replacement rate. But the pendulum may be swinging back.
News comes to us from the Institute of the Sacred Heart of Florence, operated by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Florence, that their school enrollment is once again on the upswing. In fact the increase has been so dramatic that they are in need of help.
[They] are a contemplative community dedicated to education. Their charism is to glorify the Heart of Jesus, the Love of God made visible in the Incarnate Word, by means of the sanctification of themselves and others. Through prayer and the development of the interior life, they strive to conform themselves to Christ and then, through the instruction of the youth, to radiate that love to others.
From their letter,..."Divine Providence has blessed us with an enormous harvest. Within the past year, the number of enrollments have greatly increased at every level of our school; Pre-school, Elementary, Middle School and High School. The challenge we face, hoever, is that we lack the proper facilities to be able to open our doors to all the souls that come to us." See more here.
If you are looking for a worthwhile Catholic apostolate to support, what could be better than to strengthen the family and help form a new generation of Catholic youth committed to the faith?  You can make a donation to help the sisters and support the school here. Remember the teaching orders of nuns who educated so many Catholic children in the faith? Let's help bring them back!

Give Obama a U.S. Map!

So you always thought Savannah and Charleston were Gulf of Mexico Ports. LOL! Maybe the Obamas next vacations should be to Savannah where they can look out over the Gulf and watch the sun rise. Oh...and Putin was NEVER the head of the KGB although he was an agent before he went into politics. But why is the media ignoring Obama's geographical biggies? Remember the ridicule over Quayle's spelling mistake (even though he was given the misspelling by the teacher)?

Attention: the media is moving Savannah and Charleston to the Gulf of Mexico because Obama is never, never wrong.

Logical Syllogisms of the Day

Posted on 08:27 by Unknown
Raise your hand if you're pro-life!
"Pro-choicers" claim that they don't favor killing babies. They can only make that claim because they never finish the sentence: I am pro-choice when it comes to a mother choosing... (to kill her unborn baby if she wishes.) Now if someone claimed to be pro-choice about rape (I would never rape, but I can't impose my anti-rape morality on anybody else.) people would be outraged. How dare anybody favor that violation of women. But somehow, violating an innocent, helpless baby fits the morality of many. Very sad and a clear demonstration of the manipulation of words to hide the truth. But here are a few logical syllogisms to reflect on. It really isn't that complicated once you define terms. Pro-choicers themselves have defined it as "a woman's right to choose" between having an abortion or not. Since they favor whichever decision the woman makes (they say) they do, by definition, favor abortion. And now for the logic:
All pro-choicers favor the right of a woman to choose an abortion if she wishes.
(Name) is pro-choice.
Therefore (Name) favors the right of a woman to choose an abortion if she wishes.
Abortion kills a  baby.
(Name) had an abortion.
(Name) killed a baby.
All pro-choicers favor the right of a woman to choose to kill her baby if she wishes.
(Name) is pro-choice.
Therefore (Name) favors the right of a woman to choose to kill her baby if she wishes.
Killing babies is morally evil.
Abortion kills babies.
Therefore, abortion is morally evil.

Pro-Abort Tyrants Cancel Presentations by Pro-Life Women Doctors

Posted on 12:58 by Unknown
Pro-abortionists will go to any lengths to prevent the truth about abortion coming to light. Their radical agenda can only be maintained by hiding the truth and using language that masks their lies. That truth was graphically demonstrated this past week when during the Medical Women's International Association convention in Seoul, Korea three pro-life doctors from the United States scheduled to present papers were censored and banned. Read what happened during an interview with the Korean press after the doctors' talks were cancelled. The account was written by the three doctors:
This account was written by the AAPLOG (American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists) women doctors involved:
Dear friends,
Three women physicians, Donna Harrison, Mary Davenport and Martha Shuping, were invited months ago to give lectures on complications of abortion for the MWIA, the Medical Women’s International Association. Donna Harrison’s presentation demonstrated that nations with laws protective of mothers and unborn babies have excellent maternal mortality statistics. Mary Davenport had a talk about abortion as a risk factor for preterm birth, the cause of 15 million neonatal deaths each year internationally. Martha Shuping had a presentation that included two case reports of women who suffered severe psychological harm from abortion, even though they had obvious risk factors that were not discussed in the informed consent process. These risk factors were actually quoted from an abortion provider textbook endorsed by the National Abortion Federation! This was valuable information for physicians to hear, especially those from developing nations who are under tremendous pressure to legalize abortion due to the false belief that legalized abortion is a panacea for maternal mortality.
However, our presentations were cancelled at the last minute. This was not a total shock to us, because many physicians and scientists have long been hampered in attempts to inform the scientific community and patient about risks of abortion. Very important information has been suppressed and even lied about. With the cancellation of our talks, our host Anna Choi, head of group of 680 Korean obgyn physicians who stopped doing abortions, had decided to set up a radio and newspaper interview for us during the time that we were supposed to present.
When we got to the “radio” interview that Anna had set up, it was actually a television interview, and the newspaper reporter was there also.
They put the three of us up front like a “panel” discussion, and the reporters started asking us questions about our presentation, allowing us an opportunity to talk about what we came to present. About 20 minutes into the interview, the Secretary General of MIWA, a Canadian woman, burst into the room (I kid you not. …and all of this is on camera), and came up to the table and said “What presentation is this? Donna Harrison said “it’s not a presentation”. So she snarled “Why are you being interviewed? At that point, the answers were left to Anna, our host. Anna said that this was a requested interview by the press.
The SecGen then said “Who gave you permission to interview these people?” And the reporters said “We are the press, we don’t need anyone’s permission. We have freedom of the press” And the Sec Gen snarled at Anna and said “Did you arrange this? Did you talk to the organizing committee?” And Anna said “I am on the organizing committee. I don’t need to talk to anyone.” And the Sec Gen stood in front of the camera, and refused to move, and said “The interview is over.” Then the reporters said “You can’t do this. We have the freedom of the press. You are interfering with the freedom of the press.” But the Sec Gen would not move and said “The interview is over.”
We exited to the hall, and a Belgian and German woman were waiting. They started to make fun of the Korean translator, and to snap pictures in her face. And she said “You can’t do this. This is my country. I will call the police.” And they actually grabbed at her, and then one of the Korean reporters put a huge camera in the Belgian woman’s face and started taking photos of her. A fist fight almost ensured between the women, but another of the Koreans stepped in and kept any contact from happening.. And all of this was on camera. And then our Korean hosts ushered us down the hall, and down the elevator, along with the reporters and camera crew, and we resumed the interview in the commons area downstairs by the trash cans and the bathroom. We were able to complete the entire interview, and instead of our audience being a few women doctors from the conference, we now have an audience of probably a few thousand.
It was an incredible display of arrogance on the part of the Canadian, US and European physicians at the MWIA., who initiated preventing us from speaking It will be interesting to see what press picks this up. I just wish it would go viral, it’s such a glaring example of exactly what we were saying about suppression of information.
You will be able to access the banned presentations at www.aaplog.org.
Mary L Davenport, MD, FACOG
Like the doctors said, "It was an incredible display of arrogance." It also shows exactly what lengths pro-abortionists will go to prevent the truth about abortion's danger from seeing the light of day. They would rather enable hundreds of Kermit Gosnells to kill babies and their mothers than to see one restriction on the child-killing. God help them when they stand before the Author of life to be judged.

Archbishop Pozzo returns to Ecclesia Dei commission: a signal of new moves on SSPX?

Every morning when we pray the Morning Offering we ask "for the reunion of all Christians." Of course we want our separated Protestant brothers and sisters to come home to Rome, but wouldn't the reunion of our own traditionalists be a reason for great rejoicing. Pray that the issues separating the SSPX can be resolved. In these challenging times, we need everybody on the barque of Peter manning their stations. Please Lord, restore our unity.

The Pope's Press Conference

Posted on 13:32 by Unknown
There's been an awful lot of drivel written about things the pope said.during his long interview with the press on the plane during the return from World Youth Day. It might be useful for people to read what he actually said for themselves. So here's a link. I confess, some of it leaves me encouraged, some a bit baffled, but I trust in the Holy Spirit and following the lead of little Jacinta of Fatima I want to be truly committed to praying for the Holy Father. No pope can destroy the orthodoxy of the Church. The Holy Spirit promised to remain with the Church and many saints have emphasized the necessity of our connection to Peter. Where Peter is, there is the Church. So please pray for our Holy Father no matter what. Here's just one prayer to inspire you:

Prayer for the Pope

O Lord, we are the millions of believers, humbly kneeling at Thy feet and begging Thee to preserve, defend and save the Sovereign Pontiff for many years. He is the Father of the great fellowship of souls and our Father as well. On this day, as on every other day, he is praying for us also, and is offering unto Thee with holy fervor the sacred Victim of love and peace.
Wherefore, O Lord, turn Thyself toward us with eyes of pity; for we are now, as it were, forgetful of ourselves, and are praying above all for him. Do Thou unite our prayers with his and receive them into the bosom of Thine infinite mercy, as a sweet savor of active and fruitful charity, whereby the children are united in the Church to their Father. All that he asks of Thee this day, we too ask it of Thee in unison with him.
Whether he weeps or rejoices, whether he hopes or offers himself as a victim of charity for his people, we desire to be united with him; nay more, we desire that the cry of our hearts should be made one with his. Of Thy great mercy grant, O Lord, that not one of us may be far from his mind and his heart in the hour that he prays and offers unto Thee the Sacrifice of Thy blessed Son. At the moment when our venerable High Priest, holding in His hands the very Body of Jesus Christ, shall say to the people over the Chalice of benediction these words: "The peace of the Lord be with you always," grant, O Lord, that Thy sweet peace may come down upon our hearts and upon all the nations with new and manifest power. Amen.

Possible Eucharistic Miracle in Mexico

Mexico archdiocese investigating possible Eucharistic miracle

I recently read a book about the martyrs of Mexico. It would not surprise me to see Jesus doing miracles in this land of so many martyrs of the Eucharist. And it's a sobering thought to think of the possibility of history repeating itself when a government is an enemy of Christianity as ours is increasingly becoming. Read about Mexico's history of religious persecution and ask yourself why it couldn't happen here?

Well we all know school officials know best!

Posted on 12:13 by Unknown
More reasons to home school.

I always tell my kids never to spank in public. Not that I was ever much of a spanker because I didn't find it very effective. Denying privileges gets a response much faster. Nevertheless, sometimes a good well-aimed swat on the tush can be motivational. As for the interfering school administrator, she should have minded her own business. Clearly, the grandmother was not abusing the child who was apparently having hysterics. All the administrator did was precipitate a nasty altercation between a teenager and the police. One more reason to home-school: avoid the busybodies who think they know best.

Georgetown: It's Just Not Catholic Anymore

Posted on 04:30 by Unknown
How Georgetown Became a Gay Friendly Campus...

...and completely lost its Catholic identity. Just check out campus events. This is NOT about treating gays with respect as children of God. No, it's all about promoting the gay lifestyle and the gay agenda. Same sex kiss-ins, the nauseating, pornographic Vagina Monologues, a drag ball called Genderfunk, gay pride month: these are all events with an agenda - and it's not knowing, loving, and serving God! It's high time Georgetown had its Catholic identity stripped to match the reality of its hedonistic anything-goes philosophy.

The Church Feminine: Where Have All the Good Men Gone?

Posted on 18:33 by Unknown

Rorate Coeli has a terrific article related to this on the feminization of the liturgy after Vatican II. Very insightful. Here's the beginning:
The correspondence between Cardinal Heenan of Westminster and Evelyn Waugh before the promulgation of the Novus Ordo Mass is well known, in which Waugh issues a crie de coeur about the post-Conciliar liturgy and finds a sympathetic, if ineffectual, ear in the Cardinal.[1] What is not as well known is Cardinal Heenan’s comment to the Synod of Bishops in Rome after the experimental Mass, Missa Normativa, was presented for the first time in 1967 to a select number of bishops. This essay was inspired by the following words of Cardinal Heenan to the assembled bishops:
At home, it is not only women and children but also fathers of families and young men               who come regularly to Mass. If we were to offer them the kind of ceremony we saw                 yesterday we would soon be left with a congregation of women and children.[2]
What the Cardinal was referring to lies at the very heart of the Novus Ordo form of the Roman Mass and the attendant and deep problems that have afflicted the Church since the imposition of the Novus Ordo form on the Church in 1970.[3] One might be tempted to crystallize what Cardinal Heenan experienced as the feminization of the Liturgy. But this term would be inadequate and ultimately misleading. Read the rest here.
And if you want to explore this topic even more check out Leon Podles book, The Church Impotent.  A big thank you to Leon Podles for making this book available on his website at no cost.

Read the Passion narratives in the Gospel. Jesus was a MAN, a man, in fact, who suffered extreme torture and death to save us from our sins. He was a manual laborer as well and he walked from one end of Israel to the other seeking the lost sheep. The ascetic Jesus on the girly holy cards is a figment of the imagination. May God bless us with holy shepherds in the real image of Jesus Christ, the God-Man!

Terry McAuliffe for Governor?

Posted on 18:34 by Unknown
I confess, the thought of Terry McAuliffe as Virginia's Governor makes me want to vomit. Here are some quotes from the man who takes the typical Democratic approach to fund raising: Got Big Money? Name your Prize. His selling luncheons with the president and rides on Air Force One remind me of Clinton selling the Lincoln bedroom for a price. Keep in mind that Federal employees may not accept "gifts" from contractors, etc. How come the highest federal employee in the land can accept money by selling access? It stinks. But here's McAuliffe demonstrating in his own words how ethically challenged he is:
"Did I ever ring anyone and say that for $50,000 you can have lunch with the President? Or, for whatever, you can fly on Air Force One? Yes, I did - thousands of times! And so what?”
“We have got to move past coal. As governor, I never want another coal plant built.”
“I’ve gone into states like Florida, right-to-work, and hired all union workers."
“Now let me tell you, it’s a lot easier to raise money for a governor. They have all kinds of business to hand out, road contracts, construction jobs, you name it.” [Wow! And you thought it was illegal to direct government contracts to your buddies?]
"You help me, I'll help you. That's politics."
Here's more about McAuliffe's kind of ethics.  Even rich Democrats balk at his sleaze.

And then there's the way McAuliffe treated his pregnant wife - going to a fundraiser while she was in labor and leaving wife and baby in the car on the way home from the hospital so he could make an appearance at another fundraiser. This is a guy who claims to care about women? He didn't even care about his wife! His crass behavior came to mind this past week when P'GA golfer Hunter Mahan dropped out of the Canadian Open with a two shot lead. Why? He got a phone call on the green that his wife had gone into labor and made a beeline home to be with Kandi and their baby. Now there's a man who cares about his wife.

As for McAuliffe? Like I said he triggers my gag reflex.

Oy....More Trouble in the Church!

Posted on 10:55 by Unknown
What can Pope Francis be thinking? Do we really need to heat up the battle between those devoted to the ancient Mass and those who prefer the Novus Ordo? Why should those folks who want the Mass the martyrs died for always be treated like the ugly step children? I rarely attend the Tridentine (TLM) form, but I do not understand the pounding those who do are subjected to. Please Lord, have mercy on us. Pope Benedict said the TLM was never abrogated and that priests don't need permission to say it. Was he wrong? Don't we have enough issues to fight without bringing the battle into the Church? More prayers please.

Wish We Could Get Bishops to Act Like Men!

Posted on 08:19 by Unknown

The bishops don't seem to mind acting like kids, which, frankly, I don't mind. The adults at our family retreats  (even the men and the priests) had a great time doing the motions to His Banner Over Me is Love. What I DO mind is having the laity having NO luck getting most bishops to act like men and discipline pro-abortion politicians..... It's a lot easier to act like kindergartners playing ring around the rosy which is NOT the duty of a bishop than to "teach, govern, and sanctify" which IS.

Just sayin'.

Democrats want Atheist Chaplains in the Military: One More Proof They're the "Evil Party"

Posted on 12:24 by Unknown
(Thanks to Gary for the heads up on this!)

From a June report by The Hill:
"The House on Friday rejected a Democratic proposal to allow nonreligious chaplains to serve nonreligious service members in the military....'What my amendment would simply do is allow chaplains who are certified or ordained, secular humanists and ethical culturalists or atheists, to also be able to support the brave men and women who serve in our military,' Polis said.... But the GOP-led House was able to defeat the amendment in a 150-274 vote. Every Republican voted against it, and they were joined by 44 Democrats."
Well, at least we can say that 44 Democrats haven't gone completely over to the dark side. By the way,
the Congressman introducing this bill is Jared Polis, an open homosexual from Colorado. Hmmm....atheism and homosexuality, godlessness and depravity -- just what the military needs! How exactly does an atheist "chaplain" prepare? What "seminary" training does he have -- workshops by Richard Dawkins? Well, actually there are already atheist chaplains in the military. They belong to Unitarian Universalism (UU) which can be summed up in one world -- whatever! UU is particularly appropriate for Navy atheists -- whatever floats your boat. Unitarians have no creed, no dogma, and no God, although individual UU churches can believe whatever they want so Unitarians don't always agree about whether they believe anything. Polis' amendment was clearly redundant.

Oh, and one other tidbit about Polis. In 2011 he and his "long-time partner" had a son. Here's what the Huffington Post reported:
Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) is a proud father of a newborn baby, making him the first openly gay parent in the U.S. Congress.
On Friday, Polis and his partner, Marlon Reis, sent out an announcement about the arrival of their son, Caspian Julius, who is 8 pounds, 12 ounces.
"Baby and parents are doing well, baby has learned to cry already! No gifts please, just nice thoughts for Caspian, humankind, the planet, and the universe!" read the announcement.
Polis and Reis have declined to comment on whether it was a surrogate pregnancy or an adoption.
Pray for the poor baby. And for our men and women serving their country. The persecution of Christians in the military is going on bigtime. Watch the video below if you care about our military men and women being persecuted for acting on their Christian beliefs. They need to know their religious rights. One of the reasons our military fight is to PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS, and the right our Constitution puts FIRST is that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." How can the military leadership deprive our Christian chaplains and servicemen and women of their first amendment rights? It is ridiculous and obscene! Those in harm's way need God's help more than ever. Defend the rights of our military!

Faith Begins at Home and Grandparents Play an Important Part

Posted on 16:51 by Unknown
And grandparents play a big role!

From Catholic News Agency:
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Jul 26, 2013 / 09:09 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Marking the feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, during his Angelus address today Pope Francis said the transmission of faith takes places first and foremost in the home and among families.
“Saints Joachim and Anne were part of a long chain of people who had transmitted their love for God, expressed in the warmth and love of family life, down to Mary, who received the Son of God in her womb and who gave him to the world, to us,” Pope Francis told World Youth Day pilgrims on July 26.
“How precious is the family as the privileged place for transmitting the faith!”  Read more...

"Catholic" Charities that are Anything But!

Posted on 07:57 by Unknown
Another scandal from a Catholic charity, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) (not the first I might add). It's important to realize that many of the big Catholic charities have become nothing but conduits for transferring taxpayer dollars to the third world, often with the same agenda held by the population controllers running the U.S. They can "sell" their evil much easier in Catholic countries by using a "Catholic" agency to do the dirty. And Catholic Relief Services has shown themselves happy to oblige.

Catholic Relief Services distributes abortifacients in Madagascar: on-the-ground investigation

Sad to say, you cannot trust most of the big Catholic charities: Cartholic Relief Services (CRS) is up to its neck in promoting the anti-life message in the third world. Catholic Charities (CC) scandals abound, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) sends one third to one half of money collected to Alinsky organizing groups that do their darnedest to undermine the faith and elect politicians diametrically opposed to Catholic teaching. And how do the bishops respond to criticism of these horrendous abuses? They attack the messengers. Very sad.

My suggestion is hold on to your wallet and give to organizations that you have really vetted. If you know a missionary priest in a foreign land who is doing good work, support him! If you have a local Catholic community outreach group that you work with, support it! But don't keep pouring money into these "Catholic" organizations that use your donations to do evil or act as money laundering groups for the death-dealing feds. God help us when we can't trust the princes of the Church to mind the store, but that, unfortunately, is where we are.

Happy Feast Day to All You Grandparents Out There!

Posted on 05:34 by Unknown
Today is the feast day of Sts. Joachim and Ann, the parents of Mary and grandparents of Jesus. What a happy day it was when Ann conceived "our tainted nature's solitary boast." All you grandparents out there, what a great day to tell your grandchildren about Mary's grandparents. Read about them here. Why not send your grandchildren a postcard or letter today telling them you are praying for them on this special day that reminds us how important grandparents are in the life of the family.

We're celebrating and rejoicing today that God has blessed us with 21 (so far) grandchildren. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Contraceptives that Are NOT Contraceptives

Posted on 10:55 by Unknown
Planned Parenthood and other population control/anti-natalist organizations would like you to believe that Plan B  is a contraceptive. They are so serious about misleading women that they call Plan B emergency contraception. One problem: evidence indicates that it's not a contraceptive at all, but an abortifacient.

Let's start by defining terms. What is a contraceptive? The word derives from Latin contra, meaning against, and the ending of coneptio (or the old French conception) meaning conceiving, i.e., the fertilization of an ovum by a sperm forming a zygote. A contraceptive, by definition, prevents conception or the beginning of a new life.

But that is NOT how Plan B and other chemical birth control methods operate. It does not prevent ovulation nor does it prevent the sperm and ovum from joining, i.e. the event of ovulation. It's most likely operation is to prevent implantation by altering the lining of the uterus. Instead of the baby arriving at a plush apartment to take up residence for the next 37 weeks, the baby arrives in the midst of a home demolition to be tossed out along with the trash.

Read about a recent study that examines exactly how Plan B works here. Dr. Dominic Pedulla, MD describes the results of the study on Plan B:
Previously, the method has been viewed as a contraceptive, but a closer look at the findings of a new study, published in the Contraception Journal, suggests that it may have a predominant, abortifacient effect.
The study itself claims to show that Plan B is not abortifacient, but the actual results showed that women given the drug BEFORE ovulation, even though they subsequently ovulated, experienced 0 pregnancies. The data ruled out interference with sperm since the drug was given AFTER intercourse. According to Dr. Pedulla:
Is Plan B a contraceptive at all? The preponderance of the evidence suggests not. Seeing this, other investigators have recently advanced far-flung, speculative explanations such as glycodelin-A[20] effects, and the relatively new concept of the “unfertilizable oocyte”[21], the former being ultimately disproved by the very investigators raising the possibility and the latter[22] being not so much a case of data in search of conclusions as a priori conclusions in search of supporting data.[23]
In view of the dishonest redefining of terms, e.g., Planned Parenthood says "Pregnancy begins when a fertilized egg implants in the uterus," one must often evaluate critically studies that claim to prove one thing when they actually illustrate something else. The Planned Parenthood example shows how the lie works. Their definition of pregnancy contains two huge lies. First, a "fertilized egg" NEVER implants in the uterus. The egg is fertilized in the upper third of the fallopian tube and cell division begins within hours. By the time the growing embryo reaches the uterus, the child is already about 100 cells, hardly a "fertilized egg." It is an embryo who implants in the uterine wall. Why would PP make what is obviously an obvious medical error? Because they want to dehumanize the baby. A living, rapidly-growing embryo  is a little harder to ignore than a "fertilized egg."

PP's second lie is that pregnancy begins at implantation. Implantation, however, doesn't take place until a week or ten days after fertilization when the pregnancy is already off to a good start. What exactly does PP think the little one is before day ten? A carrot? Obviously a woman is pregnant when the sperm penetrates the egg and the baby begins to grow. If there is no pregnancy until the baby implants in the uterus, there would be no such thing as an ectopic pregnancy where the baby is growing in the fallopian tube.

There are many who have a stake in promoting the notion that drugs that cause early abortions do not. So-called chemical contraceptive methods actually cause abortions all or most of the time. The attempt to claim otherwise is simply a modern example of newspeak where words are used deceptively to mean the opposite of reality. Calling Plan B and other chemical birth control methods contraceptives is newspeak from PP and other people of the lie.

The Big Rotten Apple: Where Anthony Wiener is a Leading Candidate for Mayor

Posted on 06:44 by Unknown
Should one laugh or cry over the Anthony Wiener sexting farce? The Drudge Report describes the media attention as "balls to the wall coverage" linking to a Variety article. Their lead headline at present is "an erection update" linking to a New York Times piece. The story is reality TV material -- NYC in the raw. It reminds me of a movie review of Bloom in Love I saw years ago with WTOP's film critic, Davey Marlin-Jones. He called the film the "slickest of the sickies" where "rape heals all wounds." If not rape, adultery, abortion, pornography, government-sponsored fornication: the perfect candidate for the Democrats' party platform.

Watching the Anthony Wiener farce, I keep hearing that phrase, "slickest of the sickies,"  cycle in my head. There Wiener is at another press conference with his humiliated wife standing by her man... ah..."Once more into the fray...."  And what has happened in the election polls since Wiener's sick behavior was exposed? He's shot to the lead and now holds 25% of the electorate. That's NYC for you, a city that never fails to reward corruption.

A sick candidate for a sick city, perhaps the slickest of the sick cities, the big rotten apple!

The Lefty Liberal and the Lying Media? Or Was it the Lying Lefty and the Liberal Media?

Media fooled by leftist plant at pro-Zimmerman rally

Hmm...I don't think she was really a "plant." This gal showed up at the Zimmerman rally  but, when asked by a Breitbart reporter, openly declared her sign was a sarcastic slam at the Zimmerman supporters. It's pretty obvious in the Breitbart video that she's with a Trayvon Martin supporter in a hoodie. It was the media that linked her to the Zimmerman group including  the New York Daily News and the London Daily Mail. Well, hey, anyone who disagrees with the liberal agenda must be a racist right? If you voted against white black Obama you're a racist too. There is no such thing as a principled conservative, only racist, homophobic, intolerant, fanatical, ugly right-wing zealots. Ho hum!

It's unclear to me from reading several articles whether Renee Vaughan was actually trying to infiltrate and demonize the Zimmerman supporters or whether the media just saw what they expected and ran with it to discredit the rally. Was it a stupid, irresponsible media mistake? Or was it a deliberate slander?

At any rate, many media outlets reported Vaughan among Zimmerman's supporters. Shame on them! She wasn't! Read more here and here.

Good News for Women, Couples, and Families: Natural Family Planning!

Posted on 09:39 by Unknown

I never apologize for the Catholic Church's teaching on human life and love. The Church's condemnation of artificial birth control is morally correct and a life-affirming doctrine. NFP is not "Catholic birth control," but a way of life that respects and honors the "word" of love spoken between a man and woman. And the proof of God's blessing is evident in the outcome.

Those who practice contraception have high rates of divorce; 96% of NFP couples stay together. Contracepting couples also have higher rates of suicide, breast cancer, and sexual dysfunction. When you defy the natural law, results are rarely positive.

Chemical contraceptives are poison; most are also abortifacient. Not only do they damage women, but "endocrine disrupting chemicals" (EDCs) which are also used in fertilizers, pesticides, etc.) have a broader impact on the population and the environment. Many of the articles on EDCs don't mention hormonal birth control (It's not politically correct.), but the Guttmacher Institute, Planned Parenthood's research arm, acknowledged as early as 1997 that birth control drugs fit into that class of chemicals:

Perhaps the best-known man-made endocrine disrupters are synthetic hormonal drugs, such as birth control pills and diethylstilbestrol (DES); dioxin, a by-product of waste incineration and industrial processes (e.g., the production of some pesticides and the bleaching of paper pulp); and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), which once were widely used in the United States in electrical equipment, adhesives and plasticizers. Other synthetic compounds that disrupt hormone activity are alkyphenols and phthalates, which are widely used in industrial and household products, and some pesticides, fungicides and insecticides.
Wow! Don't you love the thought of swallowing drugs in the same class as those used to kill bugs, bleach paper, kill fungus, and come from waste incineration? The American Chemistry Council defines a endocrine disruptors this way:
An endocrine disruptor is a substance that alters the function of the endocrine system and consequently causes adverse health effects in an intact organism. It is generally understood that the definition of endocrine disruption encompasses both the endocrine mechanism of action and adverse health effects.
Here's a detailed analysis (2009) from the Endocrine Society that indicates exactly how pervasive and devastating the "adverse health effects" of these chemicals are. They affect both men and women and contribute to a host of medical problems including: diabetes, obesity, thyroid dysfunction,  prostate cancer, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), early ovarian failure, testicular germ cell cancer, etc., and, of course, breast canver. Women who willingly take these drugs often have no idea they are increasing their risk of major health problems.

But a healthy lifestyle isn't the only benefit of NFP. Couples who embrace the NFP mindset of respecting their fertility and their capacity to give life have higher marital satisfaction. It makes sense doesn't it because couples are communicating about something central to their lives. Contraception women often say they feel used and taken for granted. Women using NFP describe feeling respected and enjoying intimacy withtheir spouses. No surprise there! Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding and the NFP pudding is a sweet one made of selflessness and respect. And the long-term marriages and happy families among NFP users are living proof that following God's recipe is best!

Natural Family Planning is Good News for Women!

Posted on 10:38 by Unknown

My husband and I taught NFP at Providence Hospital in Washiington, D.C. for about fifteen years. We met many couples who were having fertility problems and were looking for help to achieve a pregnancy. We were thrilled when they did. One client told me the fertility specialist asked her where she "learned to chart like that." Another couple who came to our class ended up training to be teachers themselves. He was a D.C. minister and told his wife if they came and got an anti-baby message they were outa there. (Must have heard about Margaret Sanger's plan to eliminate blacks.) They came up to us after class and said they were sold when we introduced ourselves, said we had five children, and emphasized that NFP was about "planning to HAVE families."

Most people assume they are as fertile as rabbits,
but a couple who hasn't had a baby doesn't know whether they are fertile or not. Those who think they can turn their fertility off and on like a faucet are often in for a big shock when the woman stops the pill or has her IUD removed and then can't get pregnant. Note that most birth control methods hurt the woman! I challenge men to read their partners the insert in the pill packet or depo, etc. with all the health risks and contraindications and then say, "Take this, Darling, because I love you." (Uh...who does that man really love?) A woman is not defective when she's fertile; she is a normal, healthy woman. Birth control methods, especially hormonal birth control can turn her into an unhealthy, damaged woman! Check out the risks here and here.

Our fertility is a gift of our good God. Look at the unhappy women in the Bible who couldn't get pregnant. And then read the prophecy that says, "For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck!'" (Luke 23:29) We're there and it is a sad day indeed when people think their babies are a curse instead of arrows in the quiver of the huntsmen. What hunter would go out with one or two arrows if he could help it?

So, all you smart folks out there, rejoice and celebrate this week when we encourage men and women to learn about a woman's periodic fertility that lets her know how fearfully wonderfully she is made for God's plan for the family. A couple can use that information to plan a pregnancy or, for a serious reason, to postpone a pregnancy. (I was happy to understand my fertile signs when I had cancer at 39 and was on chemo because the chemicals attack the fastest growing cells and I did not want to put a baby at risk.)

Here's my suggestion for a great way to celebrate this week. Read Pope Paul the VI's wonderful encyclical Humane Vitae. It sure opened my eyes. He was a prophet who predicted how the contraceptive culture would devalue women. Look around!

Terry McAuliffe: One More Lying Liberal

Posted on 08:07 by Unknown
Even the Washington Post couldn't excuse TM's bald-faced lie in last week's debate when he said that Ken Cuccinelli committed illegal financial acts. But that just makes McAuliffe a typical lying, liberal politician. Worse than that lie is his scandalous pretense to be a Catholic. Like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, he waves the "I am a devout Catholic" flag while vigorously supporting the murder of children and advancing the homosexual agenda. He attends St. Luke's in McLean and, according to a source there, tried to get himself appointed an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, but his services were refused, thank God.

Think of the chutzpah of such a request! The man should be excommunicated along with other pro-abortion Catholic politicians who do more to kill babies
than the woman who has one. An abortion-minded woman is limited in the number of babies she can kill, but McAuliffe and his cronies enable the killing of millions! To advertise on his Facebook page that he is a Catholic is a scandal. He should be forbidden Communion for his own soul's sake and to prevent the public scandal of sacrilege which is a mortal sin against the first commandment! A man who will thumb his nose at God, sure can't be trusted as governor.

McAuliffe's blatant lies and misrepresentation of Ken Cuccinelli's positions on issues is demagoguery at its worst. The truth is not in him. (Well, he's a "friend of Bill" Clinton after all so I guess that's not too surprising.) Here's just one example of the man's dishonesty that should be shouted from the rooftops!

Shame on You, Terry McAuliffe

There aren't enough Pinnochio's for Terry McAuliffe!

And here's one more article that tells you exactly what kind of man he is when it comes to politics and his family. Keep in mind, that he wrote about this male chauvinist pig behavior himself! Women are behind him all right -- way behind! Keep 'em dumb, clueless about the family finances, and alone during childbirth. What a sweetheart!

What Kind of Beauty Matters? The Inside or the Outside?

Posted on 17:40 by Unknown

Read about Margaret of Costello who would be a great patron for Lizzie! She's one of my favorite saints. Margaret was born blind, humpbacked, with major physical deformities. She was less blessed than Lizzie whose parents loved her. Margaret's parents took her to a shrine hoping for a miraculous cure and when she wasn't cured they abandoned her in a strange city. Poor girl. She always made excuses for them. What a grace-filled young woman she must have been - like Lizzie. Think about all the "beautiful people" who live lives committed to selfishness and evil. You wonder if there's a picture in the attic showing all their corruption. Then there's Lizzie who, like Mother Teresa, may be lacking in physical beauty, but shines with the light of Christ! May God shower her with blessings and bless everyone who hears her speak.

Inspiration for Sunday: A Black Prophet...

Posted on 12:24 by Unknown
...who could have been talking about all the rabble rousers and race baiters at the NAACP like Al Sharpton when he made the statement below. They are the real bigots who want to keep blacks on the liberal plantation pimping for money and power by playing the race card ad infinitum.

Did you know the NAACP rejected black conservative groups from their national convention? It doesn't fit their agenda. And I wonder...do you think black youth are taught anything about these black heroes like Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver? How about modern black heroes and role models like Clarence Thomas, Ben Carson, Mia Love, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Allen West, Alveda Washington, Star Parker, etc.? Somehow...I really doubt it!

Are These Black Men Guilty of Profiling? Are They Racists?

Posted on 10:18 by Unknown

Here's what Jessie Jackson said to New York Times columnist Bob Herbert in 1993 which was quoted in the paper on 12/12/93:
‘There is nothing more painful to me at this stage of my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”
Painful or not, Jessie Jackson knew, just as Pastor Manning knows, that if the person on a dark street with you is a young black man in a hoodie, your suspicion and uneasiness ARE REASONABLE.
Sorry, white liberals, but that's the truth and you know it. Elite white media can pretend that fear is unjustified. Let's face it, does Diane Sawyer who makes $12 million a year as ABC's news anchor have to worry about walking down a dark street alone in Harlem or Queens? Is she walking up the sidewalk in a crime ridden suburban townhouse community when she gets out of her car with a bag of groceries? How loud are you laughing? It's easy for these rich white liberals in their gated communities, with their chauffeurs and bodyguards to label the hoi polloi as racists. Do you think any of them would have mentored Trayvon Martin or even given him the time of day?

It's a sad fact of life that black men commit an inordinately large number of violent crimes compared to their number in the population. Address that problem, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson, by strengthening the black family. Encourage dads to be responsible, encourage families to get married and stay together. Stop using every crisis for your own power and money grabbing agenda.

As for you white liberal hypocrites, where is the outrage at Jessie Jackson's profiling? Can anyone seriously claim that the situation is better now than it was in 1993 with the latest lawless crazes being flash mob robberies and the knockout game? Race baiting doesn't solve the problem, it just makes it worse. Stock stoking up anger in the black community! How are riots in the inner city going to help anybody?

Entrepreneurs in the Family

Posted on 07:56 by Unknown
Speaking of creative entrepreneurs, I have a daughter and daughter-in-law who have their own little businesses with wonderful creative items. If you are looking for something special for a birthday, or a really unique Halloween costume check out Tutu Turtledoves. I love the little aprons that transform a little girl into a princess. They can be worn longer than a dress and can easily travel and be off or on in a jiffy. And what fun to have an assortment and invite some little friends over for a "dress up tea party." Here's a pretty Cinderella dressed for the ball.

And how about some special hair accessories that remind you of your favorite saint? Pepita Bananas offers beautiful hairbows perfect for a little girl's baptism or First Communion. Thinking Christmas in July? Here's one for your favorite Pepita's stocking. Happy shopping!
My husband and I will have our own little entrepreneurship activity after we harvest our honey on Saturday. We plan to sell not only local honey, but I'll be making some beeswax lip balm. I've already experimented with two batches and have a good recipe for starters. I'm not sure we'll ever recoup our investment in the bee business, but we're having fun and our worker bees aren't unionized and ask only a small sugar salary over the winter and when the summer nectar flow stops. If you're ever in Woodstock, stop at Camp Kreitzer and we'll introduce you to "the girls."

Texas Gov. Rick Perry Signs Bill Banning Late-Term Abortions

Posted on 17:56 by Unknown
Check it out here. The bill goes into effect in October and is expected to close most Texas abortion mills. One reason is that it requires abortionists to have hospital privileges and levies the same type of regulations that cover other free-standing surgical clinics. About time, I'd say. Abortion has been mostly unregulated for 40 years leaving women at the mercy of unscrupulous abortionists, most of whom are the bottom feeders of the medical profession. Many abortionists are circuit riders often flying in from another state, hence they have no hospital connections.

Two thumbs up, Texas! And a special thanks to my son and daughter-in-law who live in Austin and spent several days at the capitol with other the blue-clad pro-lifers defending babies waiting to be born and mothers who are often coerced and manipulated into having abortions. Thanks Neil and Martina, for being there to defend life! Women in Texas will be safer and fewer babies will die agonizing deaths at the hands of legal front alley butchers.

Remember Reading about the Miramonte Sex Abuse Case?

Posted on 17:32 by Unknown
No, I thought you wouldn't. The liberal media that ran article after article after article on the priestly sex abuse cases keeping the heat on for months and even years, can't be bothered to make public school sex abuse a national issue. Stories generally appear for five minutes in local media and then, POOF, disappear into the ether. After all....wrong narrative.

Tensions grow between LA Unified, lawyers in Miramonte abuse cases

Any sex abuse of children no matter who the perpetrators are is diabolical, but it's interesting that the only sex abuse the liberal media bother to notice, with more than a curt nod, are those involving priests, not any priests of course, Catholic priests. Now why is it that the media are so uninterested in the public school problem which is 100 times worse than what happened in Catholic dioceses around the country according to the U.S. Department of Education? Check it out here and here and read the 2004 Shakeshaft Study here. Check out a summary of the study here. According to study author, Carol Shakeshaft, 9.6% of public school children are abused between kindergarten and 12th grade. That's almost one in ten children. Are your kids in public schools? Better read the study.

Justice for Darryl: Where is Al Sharpton?

Posted on 08:05 by Unknown
Justice for Darryl. Where are the Race Mongers?

From the article:
On Thursday, July 11, police discovered the rotting body of 17-year-old Darryl Green, a black child from the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. Green’s body was found behind a boarded-up house in the 6500-block of South Damen, face down on basement stairs. The body was so badly decomposed that originally, local news reports suggested that he had died of blunt force trauma. On Friday, an autopsy showed he had been shot to death. Relatives reported that Green had refused to join a gang at school.
Meanwhile, members of the media including Reverend Al Sharpton and Reverend Jesse Jackson focused on the “not guilty” verdict in [the Florida case]. The only media outlets that have covered the murder of Darryl Green areThe Chicago Sun-Times and ABC 7 Chicago. The New York Times’ Joe Nocera mentioned Green in passing in a blog post devoted to highlighting gun crimes across the country. President Obama has not commented on Green’s death. Neither have any other politicians, including local Congressmen Danny Davis and Bobby Rush, or Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Neither has anyone at MSNBC,CNN, ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, The Washington Post, Associated Press, Reuters, or throughout the Hollywood community.
A kid probably killed by a gang...who cares? Just one more likely black on black crime that can't be used by Al Sharpton and the media to push their agenda. Remember Darryl Green in your prayers, a kid whose life and death don't matter to the high and mighty. Darryl might look like Obama's son if Obama had one, but he's no earthly use to Obama's political goals so the good kid from O's home town is invisible. Let him not be invisible to us. Pray for Darryl Green! And whenever somebody talks to you about Trayvon Martin ask if they've ever heard of Daryll Green.

Grant him eternal rest, O Lord, and give comfort to his family.

NAACP Head Tells the Truth and Gets Lambasted for It

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
NOTE: NO ANONYMOUS COMMENTS WILL BE POSTED.

Tristan Breaux, head of the Norfolk NAACP, is under fire for telling the truth about Trayvon Martin's "shaky past." Here's what he posted on Facebook the day before the verdict.:

And here's an article elaborating on it. Breaux sounds like a man with a sense of honesty who wanted to pour oil on the water and not inflame already hot passions. He is being lambasted for telling the truth with many calling for his resignation. What does that tell you about the agenda here?

As for Trayvon, the phrase "shaky past" is an understatement and,
even the night of the shooting, there's more to the story than the media tells. The 7-11 was only half a mile from the townhouse where Trayvon was staying, but it took him 40 minutes to get back there. What exactly was he doing for the other half hour? Even a leisurely walk back would have taken about ten minutes and it was raining.

What the Media Choose Not to Know about Trayvon

The fact of the matter is that Trayvon Martin has a past so shaky it can hardly stand up. But liberals never let facts get in the way of creating a good story and the "white Hispanci" hulk vs. the little black choir boy has a nice ring to it. So George Zimmerman had to be molded into a racist "white Hispanic" monster in keeping with their script, a script created not just to attack George Zimmerman, but our entire system of law and culture. Hence, a religion professor at the University of Pennsylvania followed the verdict by attacking God Himself labeling Him a "white racist god with a problem."

The media, the NAACP, and the socialist party all jumped on the attack America bandwagon from the very beginning of this case using racial division to advance their own agenda. They remind me of the three witches in Macbeth stirring the cauldron and feeding the poisonous brew to the ambitious prosecutors who joined eagerly in the attack. Since early on, the Socialist Party USA has been screaming for justice for Trayvon to  "Build a movement against racism and class oppression." The media deliberately distorted the truth to create a false picture of the events. NBC even edited the 911 tape to bolster their case of Zimmerman the "white Hispanic" racist. And the NAACP preaches hate the racist "white Hispanic" to fill their own coffers. These groups don't care about justice for Trayvon Martin. They follow the liberal party line of "Never let a crisis go to waste." This case simply became one more opportunity to advance themselves and gain more money and power. They are using Trayvon Martin and demonizing George Zimmerman as pawns to promote their own agenda, power to the organizers. Note on the press release page of the NAACP the first way you can "get involved" is to "donate now."

On every front today we are seeing the liberal war against the culture. In 2012, a mob in Wisconsin spurred on by union organizers tried to destroy the rule of law and prevent Governor Scott Walker and the legislature from voting to rein in spending. In Texas last week, the mob tried to prevent the legislature from voting on the fetal pain bill even to the point of bringing urine and feces to throw at legislators and pro-lifers. The head of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards, incited the lawlessness tweeting for the mob to make more noise while her rep on site urged them to storm the floor. This is a group that receives multi-millions every year from the government! During the Occupy Wall Street events the media helped the group  frame their message and outline their demands. In fact, many media celebrities came out to spur them on. Everywhere you look today, liberals, like Macbeth's witches, brew their poison and cast their charms to undermine the culture.

Yes, there is a move on to destroy America as we know it. The Zimmerman case simply provides one more piece of evidence illustrating it. The question is whether people care enough to stop the liberal juggernaut before the lawless revolution succeeds in destroying our Constitutional Republic. I pray yes for the sake of my children and grandchildren!

The Zimmerman Trial Illustrates One Thing Very Well

Posted on 08:25 by Unknown

Liberals would be perfectly happy to destroy the rule of law. They didn't get what they wanted in the Zimmerman trial from our rule of law soooooo..... I tried to find a clip of the jury scene in A Man for All Seasons. The jury is about to leave the courtroom to deliberate, when Cromwell stops them saying they certainly can come to a decision right there and then. And, of course, like the Catholic bishops who gave Henry what he wanted to keep their heads attached to their bodies, the jury does the same. Is that what will happen the next time we see a Zimmerman-Martin type altercation?

I'm not a fan of hard rock but the lyrics of this song are exactly where we are, "If you listen to fools, the mob rules."

Cui bone? Who benefits from mob rule? Not the mob that's for sure because chaos always ends in tyranny, and tyrants couldn't care less about the mob that brought them to power? Study the French Revolution  and one of its greatest critics, Edmund Burke, who championed the rule of law. Sadly, the U.S. is beginning to resemble Paris in 1789  more than Philadelphia in 1776. George Zimmerman is a victim of a new reign of terror replacing the rule of law with mob vengeance. I pray he will not be murdered, but what American in his right mind doesn't see that as a possibility?

Virgin Mary, Untier of Knots, We Place Our Country in Your Hands

Posted on 07:50 by Unknown
Well, she couldn't get a conviction in a court of law because there was no evidence to sustain it. So now Prosecutor Angela Corey is trying George Zimmerman in the media. Calling him a "murderer" on prime time TV has earned her the scorn of lawyers including well-known Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz:
"[George Zimmerman] probably has a defamation action against her. She has no immunity as a prosecutor for appearing on television and if I were his lawyer I would think seriously about bringing a defamation lawsuit against her." [See more here.]
Zimmerman and his parents are in hiding after numerous death threats.

And Zimmerman's acquittal like that of the LAPD police officers in the Rodney King case a decade ago, is the excuse for some to loot and riot and attack innocent people for having the wrong skin color. Remember Reginald Denny who was dragged from his truck and nearly beaten to death?
Did the white community riot as a result? Racism and civil rights violations cut both ways, but you'd never know it from the way the media treats these things. They almost seem to relish the violence so they can boost their ratings.

In my opinion, the riots in L.A. can be laid directly at the feet of those like Angela Corey and Al Sharpton and their media enablers stirring up anger and hatred. After failing to get a guilty verdict, Corey seems determined to destroy Zimmerman in the media. And Al Sharpton has made it clear he will keep the pot boiling by organizing riots  demonstrations in cities around the country.

Please pray for everyone involved in this sad situation, especially George Zimmerman who has a target on his back. As a mom I feel compassion for both these mothers. Sybrina Fulton lost her son in February 12, 2012. Gladys Zimmerman is losing her son to a politically correct script making him the scapegoat for every civil rights injustice in our nation's history. It's a point made in an interesting article whose author tries to explain the rage over the verdict. I think she's wrong in one sense. Most of the people being incited have absolutely no knowledge of the civil rights battle in the south. Aside from Martin Luther King, they wouldn't recognize the name of a single civil rights activist of the '50s. They are not acting out due to memories of past injustice, they are being incited by those who desire power who will gain it even at the price of destroying our legal system.

If I were one of those jurors, I would fear for my life and for my family. What kind of chilling effect will that have on the next trial where a white defends himself with lethal force against a black aggressor?

As for me, I think the only thing to do at present is pray and I'm directing my prayers to Our Lady, Untier of Knots.

Prayer to the Virgin Mary as Untier of Knots
Hail Mary, full of the presence of God, during your life you accepted with great humility the holy will of the father and legacy of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, and evil never dared to entangle you with its confusion. Since then you have interceded for all of our difficulties as you did at the wedding feast of Cana. With all simplicity and with patience, you have given us an example of how to untangle the knots in our complicated lives. By being our mother forever you arrange and make clear the path that unites us to Our Lord.
Hail Mary, Mother of God and ours, with your maternal heart, untie the knots that upset our lives. We ask you to receive into your hands ( George Zimmerman and all his family, the soul of Trayvon Martin and all his family, and Angela Corey and all those inciting rage and violence) and deliver us from the chains and confusion that restrain us. Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace, your intercession, and your example, deliver us from evil, and untie the knots that keep us from being united to God. So that fee of all confusion and error, we may find him in all things, keep him in our hearts, and serve him always in our brothers and sisters. Mother of Good Counsel, pray for us. Amen

I LOVE This Story: Tim the Hugger!

Posted on 11:45 by Unknown
Meet Tim: 27-year-old restaurant owner with Down syndrome

I'm sending my Albuquerque friends to get me a virtual hug on video. I want one. Yea, Tim!

Just think, 80% of kids with Downs are murdered before birth. What a sad hole would have been left in the world without Tim. If you know a pregnant mom with an in utero diagnosis of a child with Downs, send her this article and video. The world doesn't need more Ph.D.'s. It needs more Tims!

Quote of the Day from Thomas Sowell

Posted on 10:53 by Unknown
"I am so old that I can remember when most of the people promoting race hate were white.”

Thomas Sowell is one of my favorite commentators. He's honest, articulate, and....ironic as this quote illustrates. I found his quote at the end of an article about a white man, Joshua Chellew, beat up and left unconscious in a busy street by four black men. They walked away and he was hit by a car and killed. It happened in the midst of the Zimmerman trial, but I'll bet you haven't heard of this black on white crime. Al Sharpton sure isn't calling for a civil rights investigation to ensure the white man wasn't profiled and targeted because of his race. No...only whites can be guilty of racially motivated hate crimes.

Now what if the races had been reversed and the three attackers were white and Chellew black. It would be front page news for weeks. But Joshua Chellew won't get even 15 minutes of fame. As the author of the article pointed out:
[I]f Chellew had been able to defend himself against one or all of [his assailants] he’d be the new George Zimmerman. We’d be seeing baby pictures of his attackers. Al Sharpton would be marching. Jay Carney would be filibustering away all questions about Obama’s latest race-baiting. MSNBC would be on full alert.
But Chellew wasn’t able to defend himself. He probably deserved it, right? I mean, just look at him. You can’t get any whiter than that.
Read more at Why is Joshua Chellew less important than Trayvon Martin?

Race relations in this country are coming unglued. The divide is greater now than almost any time since the civil rights era and the new targets for racial hatred are often white. The country hoped that electing the first black president in history would finally bring to a close the senseless racial animosity based on nothing but skin color. But, in fact, Obama has almost gone out of his way to exacerbate the problem with his inflammatory comments about the Gates arrest and his statements in the Trayvon Matrin case. And the media, well...there are hardly words enough to describe their bias and deliberate provocation, for example, labeling anyone who disagrees with Obama policies a racist.

I happened to be in jail with Operation Rescue's Springtime of Life in Buffalo, NY when the L.A. riots occurred after the officers involved in Rodney King's beating were acquitted. Over and over, the media showed footage of the approximately one-minute tape of Rodney King being tazed and clubbed with nightsticks. What the media FAILED to show was the bull-like King charging the police officers and repeatedly trying to get up when they ordered him to stop. Fifty-three people were killed in the ensuing riots which became an excuse for massive looting, murders, beatings, and arson. The media deserves a big chunk of credit for the '92 L.A. riots in my opinion. Thank God this time everybody was calling for non-violence.

But we have a serious racial divide in this country today that seems to be getting worse. Pray for peace.
