Benghazi Survivors Threatened by Administration...Surprise!

Posted on 15:00 by Unknown
It's been pretty clear all along that the administration has plenty to hide about the Benghazi attack that left four Americans dead after being abandoned by White House direction. And the minute the survivors returned home they apparently experienced Chicago style politics practiced so consistently by this administration.

And now the truth is coming out about the Benghazi survivors being threatened with career-ending repercussions if they dare to tell the truth about what happened. Of course, what's to keep the administration from killing their careers anyway? We need a serious Congressional investigation!

Read more at:

The Heritage Foundation

The Washington Times

Does anybody really believe what Obama said at the press conference? He reminds me of Sergeant Schultz on the old Hogans' Heroes sitcom. "I know nuthink, I see nuthink...." Well, maybe he was partying or playing golf when his thugs were threatening the survivors!

Would Carnegie Mellon Let a Naked Woman Mock Mohammed?

Posted on 14:29 by Unknown
Duh! NO....they might have the office of the president targeted by a pressure cooker bomb! But hey, it's "all in good fun" if it's mocking the pope! No need to address the bigotry and barbarianism of the student's action. The Catholic League is pointing out the university's double standard and duplicity.

And how much does it cost to attend this bastion of civility? One of our sons got his Masters at this poor excuse for a university. I will urge him never to give a penny to their alumni fundraisers!

Guess Who Has Connections to the Muslim Brotherhood!

Posted on 17:51 by Unknown
...The judge, Marianne Bowler, who went into Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's hospital room to read him his Miranda rights along with a rep from the DOJ.

What exactly is going on? The agents doing the interrogating were taken by surprise and Tsarnaev immediately stopped cooperating.

Read more here.

There are lots of strange things about this case in addition to the .
1. The Saudi person of interest almost immediately dropped off the radar screen even after Michelle Obama visited him in his hospital room.
2. Russia had the brothers and their mom on a watch list.
3. The pressure cooker bomb is a type that Al Qaeda has used in Pakistan and Afghanistan and they give assembly instructions for would-be terrorists. The level of sophistication has led some authorities to speculate that the brothers needed more than on-line instruction and had help with the bomb's construction.
4. There is growing concern that the brothers had outside help in other ways and did not act alone. There may be plans for more attacks in the U.S. Authorities believe the brothers planned to explode more devices in New York's Times Square.
5. The mom texted family members in 2011 that her older son had been radicalized and was ready to "die for Islam."
6. Why did Obama's DOJ short-circuit the FBI interrogation? Was this one more example of facilitating Islam which seems to be a policy of this administration even when terrorism is involved?

God Bless Planned Parenthood?

Posted on 11:23 by Unknown
On Friday, President Obama addressed Planned Parenthood ending his talk by saying, "God bless you, God bless Planned Parenthood." to this terrorist organization that kills babies by the hundreds of thousands every year while leeching off the American taxpayer.

Now look at these two terrorist pictures and tell me what's the difference except the size of the victims and the fact that one person survived.

Yes, Planned Parenthood is every bit as much a terrorist group as the two Boston bombers. And PP causes the same kind of murderous devastation! Work to de-fund and expose these serial killers who masquerade their terrorism as "women's reproductive rights." The two Tsarnaev brothers would no doubt describe their terrorist act as an expression of jihadist rights.

But any honest person looking at these two photos would admit that both violent acts are evil. And what does it say about those who justify these evils as a "woman's right to choose?" Do they also defend the right of other terrorists to choose? Why not?

Sorry to bring you the bad news, Planned Parenthood, you are no different than the Boston bombers who were willing to kill innocent people. And your cheering section resembles Islamic extremists who approve of and cheer on the terrorism.

As for Barack Obama and his abortion extremism...God doesn't bless evil, Mr. President and that means you weren't addressing the God who is the way, the truth, and the life. So what God exactly were you addressing when you wished blessings on the bloody terrorists at Planned Parenthood? Baal? Molech? Allah akbar?

Pray and work to expose Planned Parenthood as the terrorists they are!

How do you think a liberal responds to this story? Does he praise the man with the gun who used it to save God-only-knows how many people from injury or run to the section of the store where knives are displayed and pull them all off the shelves screaming, "Knife control! Knife control!"?

Why We Need the Five First Saturdays Devotion...

Posted on 13:28 by Unknown
...and devotion to Mary's seven sorrows.

It is hard to imagine how anyone could be more insulting to a person than to attack his mother. And yet, it seems attacks on the Virgin Mary are not only fashionable today, but the rage! A new play on Broadway described here:

Toibin's daring take on the life of Virgin Mary wows critics in US

is blasphemous to such a degree it takes one's breath away. To read about our Blessed Lady being portrayed as a cigarette-smoking, booze-guzzling pagan who mistrusts and dislikes the apostles and ends up stripping naked at the end of the play brought tears of rage and sorrow to my eyes. It also reminded me of the reason for the five first Saturdays devotion.

In July 1917 during her apparition to the three little shepherd children at Fatima, Our Lady said, “I shall come to ask... that on the First Saturday of every month, Communions of reparation be made in atonement for the sins of the world.”

In 1925 she again appeared to the only surviving seer, Lucia, with the baby Jesus who spoke to Lucia saying, “Have pity on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation.” Then Our Lady spoke, “See, my daughter, my Heart encircled by thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. Do you, at least, strive to console me. Tell them that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, in order to make reparation to me, on the First Saturday of five successive months, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour, meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary.”

Can anyone doubt that this blasphemous play heaped suffering on Christ during His passion? He looked down the centuries back to the first original sin and forward through the ages until His second coming and saw every sin and blasphemy committed by every person to ever live. I think among all the suffering, one that must have pained him grievously was the cruel disrespect of his Holy Mother. She who said, "I am the slave girl of the Lord," obeyed God and loved Him with every fiber of her being. How can her Son not have suffered excruciating agony over the attacks on this purest of flowers?

The Church presents us with Mary under the title of Our Lady of Sorrows and depicts seven of them for our prayer and meditation. But the sorrows and sufferings heaped on Our Blessed Mother are unending with this blasphemous play just the latest in a long line of blasphemies.

Please join me in praying for all those connected with this ugly and disgusting attack on Mary, the Mother of God. May they come to their senses before it's too late.

Eternal Father, we offer Thee the Blood, the Passion, and the Death of Jesus Christ, the sorrows of Mary most holy, and of St. Joseph, in satisfaction for our sins, in aid of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for the needs of holy Mother Church, and for the conversion of sinners.
Virgin most sorrowful, pray for us!

Cardinal Burke Calls on Individual Bishops to Preach Humanae Vitae

Posted on 08:52 by Unknown
The root of abortion is contraception! Let me say it again. The root of abortion is contraception! The court decision that ushered in Roe v. Wade was Griswold v. Connecticut. And until Humanae Vitae is preached and preached and preached, attacking abortion is like cutting the snakes off the head of Medusa. They will grow back stronger than ever. Cardinal Burke recognizes the importance of individual bishops fighting the culture of death relentlessly. But it must include calling people back to the integrity of the sexual act itself. Contraception is a love-killing act that precedes the baby-killing act. Both need to be fought vigorously by our shepherds. Instead of giving awards to pro-abortion politicians and leaders, they need to start acting like supporting the murder of the innocent is the atrocity it really is. Cardinal Dolan (and other princes of the Church in the United States), stop honoring and kowtowing to the modern Hitlers in our midst. Hitler didn't kill the innocent personally, he developed the policies and authorized the atrocities.  When you honor our modern Hitlers and Stalins and Pol Pots and Maus, you become a serious part of the problem. Please act like men, like shepherds who defend the sheep from the wolves and fathers who face death rather than let their children be slaughtered. Please, Your Excellencies, stop giving us stones and snakes when we ask for bread and fish!

What Do the Boston Marathon Terrorist and Trayvon Martin have in Common?

Posted on 05:00 by Unknown
Listen to Rush:

Rush is spot on about this one! Why are the media portraying this guy as an all-American kid? It's sick! Take a look at the photo below showing the 8-year-old killed in the blast standing with his mother and sister who were also seriously injured in the blast. Dzhokar dropped his backpack next to little Martin and his family. Was that an accident or did this "all American kid" choose that spot deliberately where there were lots of youngsters? Why is the media showing photos of him when he was 14? Dzhokar will get his day in court. Little Martin got capital punishment terrorist style.

This is a kid -- now a dead kid:

This is not a kid -- this is an accused terrorist on a killing spree standing next to his accomplice. He looks to me like he's pretty happy about the chaos he's about to unleash on these innocent people:

How Do You Approach to Receive the King of the Universe?

Posted on 08:12 by Unknown
In 2010 Pope Benedict explained why those who received Communion from him personally must kneel and receive on the tongue:
The idea behind my current practice of having people kneel to receive Communion on the tongue was to send a signal and to underscore the Real Presence with an exclamation point. One very important reason is that there is a great danger of superficiality precisely in the kinds of mass events we hold at St. Peter’s, both in the Basilica and in the Square. I have heard of people who, after receiving Communion, stick the Host in their wallet to take home as a kind of souvenir. In this context, where people think that everyone is just automatically supposed to receive Communion — everyone else is going up, so I will, too — I wanted to send a clear signal. I wanted it to be clear: Something quite special is going on here! He is here, the One before whom we fall on our knees! Pay attention! This is not just some social ritual in which we can take part if we want to.
I once read a quote from a non-Catholic who said if he believed what Catholics say they believe about the Real Presence, he would crawl up to receive Communion on his hands and knees. Does my disposition show this kind of belief and respect for the risen Lord who comes to me in Holy Communion?

Oh, how I wish we would return to using the altar rail and kneel for Communion. It not only shows respect for Jesus in the Eucharist, but is the great equalizer where college presidents kneel side by side with their students, where company presidents and CEOs kneel next to their employees, where presidents kneel beside secretaries and clerks, etc. There is no favored place at the table when one approaches the Communion rail. How I wish its use would return. I think our pope emeritus would approve as well.

Another Abortion Scandal from Cardinal Dolan

Posted on 04:30 by Unknown
Does it never end? Earlier this month Cardinal Dolan presented the Elizabeth Ann Seton Medal to Anna Maria Chavez, CEO of the Girl Scouts. Only one problem. Chavez has been up to her neck cooperating with pro-abortion democrats and abortion advocates throughout her entire career, so why exactly is she being recognized with an award from the Church? St. Elizabeth Seton must be rolling over in her grave.

And once again Cardinal Dolan demonstrates that he is anything but a role model for Catholics who love the Lord and His creation, especially the least ones. The two articles below tell the story. And it is a shameful one for Cardinal Dolan. His list of scandals just keeps growing and growing.

Girl Scout CEO Attends 2013 Youth Emblem / Adult Recognition Ceremony with Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan

Ideology at work: Girl Scouts CEO Anna Maria Chavez

Check out Honest Girl Scouts to see how far this once admirable group has fallen. Today it partners with Planned Parenthood, favors cartoon pornography for young girls, and generally undermines morality. Check out the shocking truth! A Great Letter from my Friend Robert Quinn

Posted on 03:30 by Unknown
To America:
April 23,2013

Transparency-Barack Obama's best-kept secret.

Preamble:Four years and twenty-four" letters ago, I started reading and writing about the issue of whether Barack Obama was ever eligible to have sought the Presidency of the United States. As I progressed, doubt quickly changed to certainty....certainty that he had perpetrated the greatest political deception ever against our Country. What follows below is a cumulative recap of my letters, which, I believe, will sustain what millions are now proclaiming: "The man currently in the White House is not,and never was, the President of the United States"!No person, except a natural-born citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this Constitution shall be eligible to the office of President. (Article II,Section I -U.S.Constitution)

Has our Constitution become a forgotten document? Approximately 235 years ago The Revolutionary War began. When it ended, the United States of America was born, liberty proclaimed and laws enacted under the new Constitution. At that time, John Jay wisely convinced George Washington to include in the Constitution the above Article limiting the Presidency and Vice-Presidency to "natural-born" American citizens, so that no one with a dual-nationality or other foreign allegiance could adversely affect the governance of our Country, a provision casually ignored by many in today's political arena who treat the above article(as well as other parts of our Constitution) as "throwaway" pieces of legislation if they conflict with one's ambition.

Obama deliberately deceived America by preventing access to virtually every document bearing his name and by knowingly approving a fraudulent "Certification of Live Birth"(COLB) and a later fraudulent 2011 "Certificate of Live Birth(long form) as proof of his eligibility. He did not attempt to obtain valid copies of documents from the proper authorities but used new ones created just for him, thereby choosing treason over transparency and stealing our Presidency. Recently, on a National TV "open" mike, all America accidently overheard him telling subordinates to "find a way around the Constitution." This, from a man who, when inaugurated, swore under oath to defend that same Constitution. Today, our Constitutional liberty is sorely threatened. What John Jay feared has arrived in the person of Barack Obama. We do not elect dictators or kings. We elect Presidents....individuals meant to serve The People-not to have The People serve them!

Our Constitution was obtained at a great price. Though written in ink, it was purchased in blood....the blood of Our Founders, who deliberately inserted the "natural-born" citizenship requirement for anyone seeking the Office of President to ensure that the ideals for which they fought would be faithfully preserved for the future. Obama mocked them by ignoring this requirement or blocking it by legal action against any daring to challenge him in court. Are we "crazy" for defending our blood-purchased Constitution? If so, may insanity reign over us.
An example of Obama's "transparency": He took an oath to defend our Constitution but has since plotted to find ways around it.

HOW TO STEAL A PRESIDENCY

When U.S.Army Lt.Colonel Terrence Lakin (Dr.) began hearing of many legal challenges to Barack Obama's Presidential eligibility, he, in compliance with his sworn oath taken to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic" (similar to Obama's oath); went through military channels for clarification of this issue. Receiving no help, he then wrote directly to Obama (two times), asking him to confirm that a valid "Certificate of Live Birth" (required by Hawaiian law) had been filed by him in 2008. In previous inquiries Obama never responded to others or referred them to his fraudulent "Certification of Live Birth:(COLB) which was posted on the Daily Kos website, as proof of his eligibility. In so doing,He lied to America.A COLB was not only inadequate for Presidential aspirants, as Obama, a Constitutional teacher , well knew but his copy had also been found fraudulent by many computer document experts. Not once did Obama offer or even mention the existence of a "Certificate of Live Birth"(not a COLB), Which might have confirmed his eligibility. Instead, he continued deceiving our Nation through the 2008 election! In Col.Lakin's case, Obama ignored the letters of a man who had given 18 years of faithful allegiance to America, merited a Bronze Star and became a leading flight surgeon charged with caring for the Chief of Staff's pilots and air crews. Feeling that Obama's authority to command had not been established, Col.Lakin refused a second deployment to Afghanistan. He was then arrested and underwent a military court-martial at which the presiding judge, Major General Carla Hawley-Bowland would not allow him to introduce any Obama records in his defense "lest they prove embarrassing to the President." (her words). The General's concern for sparing Obama possible "embarrassment" overrode any concern for Truth. The sham guilty verdict was followed by a dishonorable discharge, loss of all pay and benefits and imprisonment. Her Kangaroo court had done its job well. A man who had served his Country honorably was brought down by a"Commander-in-Thief", Barack Obama, the only "president" in our history who refused to produce a valid birth certificate, and who, unlawfully, remains in Office to this day!

If Obama's records confirmed he was not a "natural-born" American citizen and, therefore, not eligible for the Presidency by reason of possible dual national allegiance, it also meant he was guilty of treason and criminal conduct since he used fraudulent documents to deceive America. That's the real "embarrassment which the General feared, hence truth and Col.Lakin be damned!

Consider: Two men took an oath to defend the Constitution. One,Col.Lakin, faithfully did, for 18 years while the other,Obama, used lies, false documents and silence(aided by a subservient News Media), as he plotted to upend, not defend that same Constitution. Obama did find time to fill out a form with names of basketball teams he favored in an upcoming tournament and to go on multiple vacations, including one to Hawaii at the same time Lt.Col.Lakin was "leaving" for Leavenworth,Kansas Penitentiary. How sad....one traveled in comfort, the other in chains! Why? For seeking confirmation that the service and salute which each serviceman and woman rendered to their President was being received by someone entitled to command their allegiance. Col.Lakin, who spent years mending broken bodies now found himself incapacitated by a man who repeatedly boasted of being "transparent"....except when his eligibility was being questioned. May all recipients of this letter raise their voices in a call for vindication and restoration of Lt.Col. Lakin to the Army he served so well (if he so desires), and to demand that Obama produce whatever birth documents(if any) are in the Hawaiian Health Dept.files and submit them to an impartial analysis for verification. After the way Obama treated Col.Lakin and others, we cannot expect him to voluntarily offer to produce any records. Unwittingly, in his own words Obama characterized himself when he said to Newsday(Long Island,New York Newspaper) on Aug.22,2010 "the only people who don't want to disclose the truth are those with something to hide." AMEN

Obama's actions have resulted in both active and retired members of the Military becoming plaintiffs(quietly ignored by the Media) in lawsuits against him, all asking one thing:"Prove that you were eligible" An easily satisfied request-for a legitimate Presidential claimant.Obama's response....sue me. Having his lawyers use every resource available to block access to any documents, Obama's disgraceful deceiving of these Servicemen and women has put their freedom and futures in harm's way, for attempting to protect the integrity of our Constitution. There are three million members in the U.S.Armed Forces; all obligated to produce valid documentation of birth did so,with one glaring exception....Barack Obama, their "presumed" Commander-in-Chief. Think of this....a man who refuses to disclose his past is now determining our future!

Obama's example of "transparency":Had he admitted his fraud it would have meant prison for him; however,by remaining silent and secretive it would mean prison for Col.Lakin.. A true "no brainer" for someone who has lied, withheld or falsified incriminating documents and ignored or rejected our Justice system. Obama destroyed an American soldier's career in order to keep his own intact.Let us recall these words of Abraham Lincoln:"To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men." To this I would add "and of women". Obama lies and America dies!

More Police State Video:

Posted on 11:55 by Unknown

The rhetoric is incredible. All those folks whose homes are being invaded describe being terrified (not by the terrorist, but by the FBI thugs) and then, amazingly, they justify the warrantless searches. Now what would have happened if somebody said, "No, you need a warrant and I'm not leaving my home." Would the SWAT team break down the door, drag them out, and arrest them? Or would they shoot first and ask questions later?

Excuse my cynicism, but this event has all the earmarks of preparing Americans to accept any kind of unconstitutional bullying from the police. What will people say when the cops start going house to house looking for guns like they did in New Orleans? Have you forgotten the little old lady they brutalized? (See video below.)  Do you remember the gun targets of ordinary folks purchased by the feds to lower officers' natural resistance to shooting pregnant women, children and old folks? They're called "No more hesitation targets."

We wouldn't want the police to hesitate before shooting a kid or a pregnant woman. Hey, they already used overkill on that poor old lady in New Orleans.

Wake up, America. Sad to say these "events" whether natural disasters or a terrorist situations give the brown shirts an excuse to violate the rights of citizens.

Planned Parenthood: Covering up for the Predatory Foxes!

Posted on 08:59 by Unknown
Thanks to Lila Rose and Live Action, Planned Parenthood's (PP) complicity in covering up statutory rape was exposed. Some states are even prosecuting the serial killing giant. The latest skeleton in PP's closet, though, is the fact that they knew what was going on in Gosnell's house of horrors and did nothing about it. Hey, he was an abortionist and no matter the level of butchery, abortion must be protected at all costs!

The Philadelphia Inquirer broke the story (below), no doubt inadvertently, about PP's knowledge of Gosnell's business. Author Morgan Zalot quoted the Philadelphia affiliate's CEO, Dayle Steinberg, admitting they encouraged Gosnell victims to report him to the health department. Gosnell has now become for PP proof of PP's "need."  But are they much different? Hardly!
NOTED FEMINIST Gloria Steinem took the podium at the National Constitution Center on Tuesday night, addressing a crowd of 500 spanning four generations at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania's annual Spring Gathering. Steinem's talk came at a time when illegal-abortion doc Kermit Gosnell's trial is highlighting the uglier side of the abortion issue in Philadelphia, and as state legislators are considering measures to limit abortion access under future government-funded health-insurance plans.Organizers said the event - and Steinem herself - would move the public's focus to the organization's work.

"The Gosnell trial has shifted the focus off the high-quality services we provide," said Dayle Steinberg, the organization's president and chief executive. "These are criminal, horrendous . . . acts and should be appropriately punished." Steinberg said that when Gosnell was in practice, women would sometimes come to Planned Parenthood for services after first visiting Gosnell's West Philadelphia clinic, and would complain to staff about the conditions there.
"We would always encourage them to report it to the Department of Health," Steinberg said as she sat with Steinem before Tuesday's events.
Of the Gosnell trial, Steinem added: "It makes more clear why you need Planned Parenthood."
Her speech, Steinem said beforehand, would aim to "remind us that reproductive freedom is a fundamental human right."
Steinem called the legislation being considered in Pennsylvania's Legislature "self-defeating." The bills would limit abortion covered by federally subsidized insurance to cases of rape, incest or those that are life-threatening.
"It's putting women's health at risk," she said. "It's like saying, 'You have freedom of speech, but only if you say one thing.' "
Steinem's address was punctuated at several points by bursts of applause and nods of agreement from the audience.
She praised politicians and men in attendance who support women's reproductive rights, but likened the battle to the fight for the right to vote and said she believes it's only about half-finished.
She called reproductive freedom the "key to equalizing males and females," and praised Planned Parenthood and its supporters.
"There's nothing on earth more important than what Planned Parenthood is doing," she said. "It is connected to everything else."
Gloria Steinham may love Planned Parenthood since, for feminists, they are temples celebrating the abortion blood sacrament. But one big problem for PP is that their organizations are butcher shops  not much different from Gosnell's where women are lied to, treated like cattle, and denied the truth about abortion's risks and complications. PP also pimps minors for adult sex predators. Yes, they are champions of the cover-up!

It's time to defund this ghoulish monster. They care about women like the fox cares about the chicken. STOP PLANNED PARENTHOOD!

Imagine God Singing: "You are so Beautiful, Beautiful to Me"

Posted on 07:50 by Unknown
I thought the video below was fascinating. And as I watched the women come out looking prettier to others than to themselves, I began to wonder how God sees us. How did Jesus see the woman at the well? How did He see Mary as she washed His feet with her tears and dried them with her fair? How did He see the woman taken in adultery? How did He see Mary when she mistook Him for the gardener near the tomb?

God loves us so intimately and knows everything about us and knows exactly how beautiful we are. The closer we draw to Him, the more we become the beautiful creation He made.

What would a sketch of you look like if the person describing you to the artist was Jesus or His mother Mary?

Politician-in-Chief Ditches Major Planned Parenthood Fundraiser

Posted on 18:22 by Unknown
The Kermit Gosnell trial has been shining plenty of light on the sickening underbelly of abortion including Planned Parenthood and their support for killing babies born alive after abortion. Does that explain President Obama ditching a major PP event tomorrow?

Let's face it -- It's ALWAYS about Obama's image. So the man will speak at a low-key event on Friday instead with less of a press profile.

Wonder how PP feels after their 15 million investment to get their man elected. And now he goes and disses them in their hour of need when the spotlight is glaring on their support for infanticide. Ah well....politicians are so fickle, but no doubt Obama will still keep the federal dollars rolling into PP's coffers.

This will be interesting to watch. As they say...there's no honor among thieves and the only moral position we can depend on from Obama is what's good for Obama. Sorry, Planned Parenthood, you're expendable. If you become a liability to Barack you're down the toilet.

Why is Obama Distancing Himself from Planned Parenthood? Answer: Gosnell

Remember the Armenian Genocide: Confront the Deniers!

Posted on 09:10 by Unknown
Today is remembrance day for the Armenian genocide.

The world's silence over the Islamist Turks' annihilation of the Christian Armenians from 1915 - 1924 emboldened Hitler's attack on the Poles. Who now remembers the Armenians? he asked when members of his staff demurred over his plans. I remember as a child my mother urging us to eat and not waste anything. We were so blessed. "Remember the starving Armenians," she often said.

Don't let this genocide be forgotten. It was, in fact, the first genocidal atrocity of the 20th century. It is as well documented as the German holocaust against the Jews. And yet, like other atrocities, the deniers are out there including high level government officials. Representative Brad Sherman has encouraged President Obama to acknowledge the Armenian genocide Rep. Adam Schiff did the same. . Obama, politician to the core, won't use the word. Since his election, he has avoided calling genocide genocide. As he did again this year calling it "Meds Yeghern" which means "great calamity." A "great calamity" is an earthquake or a devastating forest fire or a deadly hurricane. The Armenian massacres were "genocide." Does the word matter? It sure did in Rwanda. The U.N. refused to call the assault "genocide" which would have required continued action in the country. Instead, they pulled out all their troops leaving the Tutsis at the mercy of their enemies who engaged in the bloodiest machete attacks, even against women and children. "Kill the cockroaches," was the government's clarion call broadcast daily over the radio. And the Hutus proceeded to do it slaughtering up to 3/4 of the Tutsi population.

Yes, the Armenian assault was genocide by the Islamist Ottoman Turks against the Christians, the same type of attacks going on today in Iraq, Iran, the Sudan, and many other places.  It needs to be recognized for what it was. Instead, Turkey portrays it as a control measure against a rebellious population. The Armenian news service Asbarez calls Turkey, "the original pioneers of genocide denial." Denial matters! Revisionist history undermines reality and allows perpetrators of evil to deny evil. It must be confronted. Scroll down and watch the video by the French writer on this website and check out the photographs.

Words matter. What happened to the Armenians was not just a "great calamity," it was premeditated slaughter of a population because of their religious beliefs. It was carried out systematically just like the genocide by the Third Reich two decades later and it annihilated 1.5 million men women and children through outright murder, forced marches, and other gruesome means including crucifixion of women (Does that tell you something about the religious connection?).  One of the murdered, along with his flock, was Blessed Ignatius Maloyan, Archbishop of Mardin. His testimony about the persecution of the Armenians is a primary, historical source.

Remember the Armenians today. Pray for the repose of their souls and for the mercy of God on their exterminators and those who, even today, perpetuate the lie by denying what really happened!

The Kevorkian Lesson: Gruesome Killers are Fascinated by Death

Posted on 03:00 by Unknown
If Jack Kevorkian, Dr. Death, were still alive he would be 85 next month. The euthanasia activist was an outspoken and enthusiastic advocate for killing the sick and handicapped, something he apparently enjoyed doing personally. He finally ended up in jail for practically daring the government to prosecute him after he gave one man a lethal injection and then released a video showing it. He ended up serving about eight years in jail.

The gruesomeness of the Gosnell trial, with the graphic description of his murders and the grim jokes about the poor little victims reminded me of Jack Kevorkian this week. The only difference? The size of the victims.    How do you get inside the brain of a serial killer? With Kevorkian, it was pretty easy. He left behind a body of paintings that illustrate, I think, that he was a madman. Take a look at his "art" and see if you agree. Frankly, I think he was possessed. He certainly hated religion as the two pictures relating to God illustrate.

"For He is Raised"

"Very Still Life"

I could not find a title for this painting, but it seems to me to indicate a connection between abortion and murder of the weak. Is the emaciated man a symbol for Kevorkian's victims? I wonder how Kevorkian himself saw it, but I expect no matter what he said there is a subliminal message.

"Nearer My God to Thee"

When I looked at this picture I could only imagine that it is a soul being sucked down to hell. And the "god" would have to be the Lord of this world. Did Kevorkian himself grasp life like that as he reached the end? I can't imagine he had a peaceful death.

Abortionists have the same gruesome attitude toward death. If you read The Death Peddlars by Fr. Paul Marx or read reports from abortion meetings infiltrated by pro-lifers you see the macabre jokes and the almost compulsive fascination with death talk. It's creepy. Jack Kevorkian took the creep factor and made it visible for all to see with his "artworks." Interestingly, this most unnatural man died a natural death. May God have mercy on his soul.

And So...the Cave-In Begins on the Contraceptive Mandate

Posted on 19:23 by Unknown
Is it any surprise that the backing off began with the Archdiocese of New York? Does anyone expect Cardinal Dolan to show evidence of real backbone. Hey, we wouldn't want Obama to decline the next Al Smith Dinner. While the lawsuit continues, it's pretty clear that the archdiocese isn't going to play hardball which is the only thing tyrants understand.

Judge Dismisses Three Murder Counts against Gosnell

Posted on 14:22 by Unknown
The three murder counts dismissed related to live born babies who were crying and struggling for life. Gosnell snipped their spinal cords to kill them. But apparently it's okay with the judge to murder living babies in cold blood. Wow! I wonder if it's okay to snip the spinal cords of stupid judges. Ya think? Do you think serial killer Gosnell will get off with a wrist slap or maybe a short term for all his killing?

Shocker: Gosnell Judge Dismissed 3 Murder Charges, Five Remain

Oh, and here's what the monster was doing about 40 years ago (See more here.) - using poor women as guinea pigs even before abortion was legalized - which demonstrates once again that the same butchers who were doing illegal abortions (like Milan Vuitch in D.C. and Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia) simply moved their shingles from the back alley to Main Street. Abortion has always been a butcher's practice. Making it legal just opened up the meat market for the butchers to do more business. And the biggest butcher shop in the United States has a Planned Parenthood sign out front. They do about 40% of the abortions with millions of dollars of your tax money!

Did You Ever Wonder: About the Origin of the Paschal Candle?

Posted on 07:34 by Unknown
I was staring at the paschal candle this morning at Mass thinking how much I love to see it there during the Easter season and at baptisms and funerals when it reminds us so graphically that Jesus is the light of the world, our hope and salvation. Well, that set me to wondering when and where the custom of lighting the paschal candle originated. The short answer is...nobody knows for sure. In 384 St. Jerome wrote a letter to a deacon in Piacenza, Italy named Presidio describing a hymn that praised the candle and the Easter mystery. That indicates the custom was already well established.

According to Catholic Online:
The most likely origin is that it derived from the Lucernarium, the evening office with which early Christians began the vigil for every Sunday and especially that of Easter. In turn, this rite is probably inspired by the Jewish custom of lighting a lamp at the conclusion of the Sabbath. The rite therefore has its roots in the very beginning of Christianity. In the Lucernarium rite the light destined to dispel the darkness of night was offered to Christ as the splendor of the Father and indefectible light. This Sunday rite was logically carried out with greater solemnity during the Easter Vigil.
Ah...back to our very roots in the Jewish custom celebrated, no doubt, by Joseph and Mary in their little home in Nazareth. Think of the fascination children have for candles and flickering flames
and imagine the toddler Jesus wide-eyed and spellbound on Mary's lamp as she lit the candle.

The solemn use of the candle dates at the very latest to the second half of the 4th century uniting us to all those holy men and women who went before us. So many saints I invoke share with me that beautiful rite of witnessing the Easter fire and lighting the paschal candle. When I think of St. Therese praying in her cloister, St. Thomas More in his parish at Chelsea, St. Maximilian Kolbe in the squalid barracks of Auschwitz, St. Catherine of Siena dictating letters to Pope Urban VI, St. Joan of Arc leading the army of France, St. Dominic preaching to Albigensian heretics, the little children of Fatima attending Mass with their families...all share with me the experience of seeing the paschal candle to dispel the darkness of sin and welcome Christ Our Light.

How I love our Catholic faith that gives us so many rich traditionss that stir our hearts through the use of our senses. We are a people who need our faith with skin on. "Rejoice in the Lord always....Taste and see how good the Lord is!!"

This is What a Police State Looks Like!

Posted on 17:24 by Unknown
Let's get this straight. Two bad guys commit an act of terrorism and an entire town is locked down, houses are searched door to door, private citizens are forced out of their homes at gun point and illegally searched. They did the same thing in New Orleans after Katrina. What if a citizen refused and demanded the police provide a search warrant? Would they have been shot?

Today Is Earth Day: Seven Ways to be a Good Steward

Posted on 12:25 by Unknown
1) Stop using contraceptive drugs. They pollute the ground water and contribute to genetic changes in fish. Use Natural Family Planning and be open to life and love.

2) Love your spouse and family. Don't get divorced. A couple who stays together lives in one housing unit instead of two. That saves trees and other natural building materials, reduces energy because of shared appliances, and reduces stress on the kids making them more likely to hug a tree instead of kick it. Studies show that kids whose parents divorce have a lower life expectancy and engage in riskier behavior. Do the planet (and your kids) a favor by staying together through "good times and bad."

3) Instead of wasting time and money at the mall on stuff you don't need, take a hike and praise God for giving us this beautiful earth and making us its stewards.

4) Take your kids or grandkids on a litter walk. (Wear gloves.) Tell them stories about being responsible and caring for their neighborhoods. "Once upon a time there were two little children who lived in a pleasant village. Unfortunately, it had a McDonalds on one end of town which was a Big Mac away from their house. Every day they found foil wrappers, fry holders and empty drink cups scattered on their front lawn...."

5) Don't use weedkillers on your yard. Let the dandelions give it that cheery color. You'll be doing the honeybees a favor too. They like dandelions! In fact, if you don't use herbicides you can eat dandelions. The leaves are good in salad and the flowers can be breaded and fried. Really! Maybe I'll make some for dinner.

6) Have a garden swap. Trade plants with your neighbors. You'll add new plants at no cost. If you want lamb's ear I've got plenty. Also I'd be glad to share daffodils and lilies. The forsythia is volunteering as well. And the chives are growing everywhere. Want some Greek oregano? Got that too. Gardeners are the best friends on earth. They love to share!

7) Ignore the environmental wackos who think the best thing you can do for the planet is kill yourself. God made you in His image and likeness to take care of and enjoy the earth. You are the pinnacle of His creation. Tell a friend!

Should Terrorists be Treated as Enemy Combatants?

Republicans want Boston bombing suspect treated as enemy combatant, sparking Miranda debate

We call it a "war" on terror. When there are clear signs of a connection to global terrorism (pressure cooker bomb fancied by jihadists, connections to Islamic radicalism indicated by tweets, emails, etc.) it seems labeling terrorists as enemy combatants engaged in a war against the American people makes good sense. Walter Sullivan: "The Good Bishop" - Hahahahahahahaha

Posted on 20:18 by Unknown
I can't stop laughing after reading a description of a new biography of Bishop Walter Sullivan who spent 29 years decimating the Diocese of Richmond which still hasn't recovered. The last time we went to Virginia Beach we visited two churches on Saturday morning and neither one had morning Mass. The parish we went to in Hampton for Sunday Mass was so filled with liturgical abuses we decided not to receive Communion. (The bread used for consecration looked like gingerbread and the fraction was performed by ladies helping out at the altar.) You can read about that particular abomination here.

Walter Sullivan persecuted orthodox priests, allowed rampant dissent to rule in Richmond, and helped advance the homosexual agenda. He allowed a parish in the Norfolk area to hold an ecumenical liturgy where the Protestants and Catholics shared the Liturgy of the Word then went to opposite ends of the hall for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. When I wrote to object I got a letter signed by the bishop saying he was well aware of it and claiming it was legit. Disobeying Holy Mother Church was not a problem for him.

Bishop Sullivan was chaplain to the dissent group Pax Christi for years and dissent was also reflected in the the rampant liturgical and theological abuses. They were so bad, in fact, the diocese was commonly referred to as Wally World, the fictional theme park in the Chevy Chase lampoon film Vacation. Sullivan killed vocations; most men seeking ordination went elsewhere. During Sullivan's years Arlington was ordaining from six to ten men each year; Richmond was lucky to have one or two and some years produced none. Once when my husband and I were vacationing in Chincoteague we found the daily Mass at the small church there so orthodox we were shocked and went back to talk to the priest and praise him. When I said it was nice to find an orthodox Mass in the Diocese of Richmond, he laughed and said, "That's why I'm here; I have thirty families." Friends and relatives of mine in the Richmond Diocese often lamented how difficult it was to find a faithful Mass to attend and how awful religious instruction was for their children. Obviously, dissenters loved him!

A few items to note. The book is published by Orbis which is Maryknoll's publishing arm. Anybody whose been following Maryknoll since the 60's knows the order is riddled with dissent and many of their publications promote heretical positions. It's no surprise, then, that they would publish a eulogy of Walter Sullivan, one of the worst bishops in the country, with kuddos from liberal Catholic Martin Sheen. Although Sheen is personally pro-life and has supported life in his own family he has also marched for choice. Like his hero Sullivan, he's a cafeteria Catholic who picks and chooses when to obey Holy Mother Church.

Bishop Walter Sullivan died last December at 84. I pray for the repose of his soul, but he was a "good bishop" like an absentee father is a "good dad." He failed to do his duty to transmit the faith. Instead of teaching, governing, and sanctifying according to the mind of the Church, he turned Richmond into a stronghold of liberalism where progressive politics masqueraded as the Catholic faith. According to dissenting Catholic Professor Dan Maguire who teaches at Marquette, Sullivan even wrote a "welcoming introduction" to a book of essays by theologians some of whom "defended the right of sacramental marriage for same sex couples."

Martin Sheen asked the rhetorical question, "What would the church look like with more bishops like Walter Sullivan?" The answer is simple -- just like Richmond did under his rule with shrinking vocations, the destruction of the liturgy, promotion of socialism, women running parishes, and orthodox priests sidelined and persecuted. In the eyes of the world, Bishop Sullivan was indeed a "good bishop."  Whether God agreed with them Bishop Sullivan now knows. Please join me in praying for the repose of his soul. The man needs prayer and penance not spurious praise.

The Stumbled Upon Blog

Posted on 07:35 by Unknown
I have a bedroom (I call it the dormitory) that has four single beds in it which is often filled with six or seven granddaughters sleeping on the beds and spilling over to the floor. Today I was looking on-line for ideas for simple, easy to make bed ideas. In the course of my search I stumbled upon a delightful blog by a home-schooling mom called The Complete Guide to Imperfect Homemaking. It is filled with charming and practical ideas -- that even inspire an old grandma like me. And the title reminds me of Chesterton's admonition that if a thing is worth doing it's worth doing badly. Amen to that!

And here's one idea I plan to put into practice next time grandkids come to play: a s'mores basket. Yummy! Wouldn't this make a lovely hostess gift for a family with children? You'd be their favorite guest!

Think, Sally: A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste!

Posted on 18:19 by Unknown
The Washington Post's Sally Quinn, like most of their writers, is an unregenerate liberal. And, like most liberals, she engages in rhetorical gymnastics to justify her moral (actually immoral) positions. So on abortion Quinn can say (with a straight face one presumes):
I have total respect for those who believe that life begins at conception. I do not. My belief is that when a fetus is viable, when it can survive on its own, then it is a human being. My beliefs are based, not on religion, but on my own sense of morality. I do not want others imposing their religious beliefs on me. (Read column here.)
Ah...logic.
What others believe may not be imposed on Sally, but Sally's "belief" must be imposed on all, especially babies who are killed by abortion. The scientific fact that every human person's life begins at the beginning must be shunted aside in favor of her personal "belief" that viability determines humanity. Earth to Sally: technology has changed viability over the last 75 years. Preemies born 75 years ago with no hope of life now routinely survive and thrive. And I don't believe you, Sally, when you mark the beginning of life at viability. I imagine a woman who wanted a late term abortion of a baby big enough to "walk [you] to the bus stop" would meet with your approval no matter how viable the infant if his mother wanted it. Your self-centered, "I'm my own god" belief allows you to rationalize and justify anything at all and change your views to match the current fashion.

But it was another Quinn column that is so outside the realm of logical reasoning it made me shake my head and think, "Liberalism fries your brain." The column, Regret looms in future for opponents of gay rights, appeared in last Saturday's paper. It begins by talking about Barry Goldwater and his regret for voting against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Barry was a good guy, says Quinn, who was "no racist;" he voted on Constitutional principles. But it was the one vote he regretted til the end of his life. From this leaping off point, equating "gay" rights with racism (a dishonest comparison of mutable behavior with immutable racial characteristics), Quinn goes on to hail the fact that Barry had "grown a lot" by the time he died at 89. What does that mean for Quinn?
Toward the end of his life...Goldwater was a strong pro-choice advocate -- his wife was one of the original founders of Planned Parenthood in Arizona. He was also pro-gay rights long before it really became a public issue. His grandson was gay"
Ah yes, being a champion of abortion and the gay agenda illustrates "growth."

But then Sally moves on to the main course -- the raw meat of her argument:
Today, there are many potential Goldwaters out there on the gay marriage issue....There are decent people with good values who are against gay marriage. One day, in the not-so-distant future, these people will be ashamed of their position. If any of the Supreme Court justices vote against it, they will eventually be ashamed as well. Not only that but their children, their grandchildren and their heirs will be ashamed of them.
Right, Sally! Those who refuse to lie and proclaim that anal sex is the same as marital intercourse will be ashamed. But those who champion their personal "belief" that stabbing babies in  the head and sucking out their brains, snipping their spinal cords, and injecting their hearts with digoxin -- those champions of moral virtue will never have to say they're sorry! Talk about living in a liberal dream world!

But there's more to come. Sally has a hate-on for the Catholic Church so she moves on to attack Cardinal Dolan and his statement that "gay people...are made in God's image and likeness...[and] are entitled to friendship...but we also know that God has told us that the way to happiness...especially when it comes to sexual love -- that is intended only for a man and a woman in marriage." Quinn implies that Dolan is a low-down, wicked hypocrite because he "watched when a gay man from New York, who was active in the church until he married his partner, was kicked out of church ministry. This, despite 18,000 signatures in his defense." Horrors! The Church actually stood up for its beliefs. But since they don't correspond to Sally's they must be wrong, especially since 18,000 people said so. Besides which, Sally knows "a few religious leaders" who've told here they favor gay marriage but can't say so for fear of losing their congregations. Well, that certainly proves she's right, eh? And she has a sermon for them:
Think of the conflict and, yes, shame they must be feeling now and how it will only worsen with time. One day they will have to come around or they really will lose their congregations. They have one thing going for them. Most religions believe in redemption. They'll need to pray for it big-time.
Sally, of course, will never need to pray for redemption "big-time" for approving of the murder of the "least ones" among God's children. No, killing babies in the womb is just a "choice" in Sally's lexicon, one that corresponds to her moral beliefs.

Besides, the argument for gay marriage is really won already. After all, Sally points out, many politicians are finally seeing the light and jumping on the gays' bandwagon (Flip-flopping among politicians is something new and revolutionary?) except for that awful Rand Paul suggesting the states should decide.

Finally, the end of Quinn's column is so unbelievable she convinced me she's lost her mind altogether and is in dementia. She sums up by urging all those who are on the "wrong side" (i.e., anyone who disagrees with her enlightened beliefs) to turn to Ephesians 5 "for guidance." She quotes most of the chapter from St. Paul (who graphically condemns sodomy in Romans 1) calling all the wrong-headed bigots who refuse to endorse same-sex perversion to "live as children of the light -- for the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true."

Are you scratching your head? I certainly was after reading that. What exactly is "good and right and true" about acting out on same-sex desires? What is "true" about pretending orifices used in digestion and excretion are part of the reproductive system? What is "true" and "good" about fisting and other perverted homosexual practices? And what is "true" and "good" about pretending that condemning immoral behavior is the same as discriminating against a man for the color of his skin? Sorry, Sally, there is no civil right to sodomy, adultery, fornication, murder, theft, etc. Immoral behavior may be accepted by the mob (Just like the mob who killed Jesus), but a majority in the wrong are still wrong!

Sally needs to take notice of what she quotes and act on St. Paul's admonitions which she thinks will "shame" people of faith. "Take no part," St. Paul says, "in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what such people do secretly," I shook my head in disbelief that Sally could think this was an argument that favored her position. Homosexual activists have done everything they can to hide what they do "in secret" from the general public. The homosexual activists who wrote After the Ball urged secrecy as part of the strategy to change the culture. They wanted gays to masquerade to make their lust appear the same as the love between a man and a woman in holy matrimony. They wanted people to think that homosexual relationships are monogamous and faithful when most are anything but as a 2010 study of gay couplings showed. How many articles have you seen describing the perverted practices of homosexuals that lead to AIDS, meningitis, syphilis, virulent strains of TB, and other diseases? That aspect of the gay lifestyle is completely shrouded in darkness outside the homosexual community. How many average Americans know about the workshops run by gays to instruct children in perversion? (It's called recruiting!)

Sally's liberalism has totally blinded her to the true meaning of Ephesians 5 (or she's playing dumb). When St. Paul urges the Ephesians, "Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you," he is calling for them to wake up from their old lives of sinful behavior, and throw off moral death. His words are directed to Sally Quinn and all those who live a life of lies where good is portrayed as evil and evil is portrayed as good. "Live not as unwise people," Paul says, "but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil." They are, indeed, as Sally illustrates with her enthusiasm for killing babies, advancing the gay lifestyle, and slandering anyone with whom she disagrees.

No, Sally, I will never be ashamed of standing up for the truth and condemning evil that masquerades as good. I will never lie to a "gay" relative or friend lulling them into a false sense of security about the state of their souls. And all your distorted quoting of scripture won't shame me into adopting a moral relativism that exchanges the true, the good, and the beautiful for ugly lies.

As for redemption, those most in need of it are they who embrace the sins that cry to heaven for vengeance among which are sodomy and the murder of the innocent. You've got at least two of the four on your score card, Sally. Maybe it's time for you to be ashamed and seek redemption. Those who glorify sin are in serious danger of judgment.

Readers, can you spare a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for this foolish woman?

Celebrate Easter for the Entire Season: He is Risen, Alleluia!

Posted on 18:46 by Unknown
I love the Church. She gives us seasons of celebration that last for weeks. Most people miss it at Christmas trashing the decorations just when things are getting started. Easter too. I'm sure most folks have their sights set on Memorial Day. But every morning when I say morning prayer, the antiphon before the first psalm is, "He is risen, Alleluia!" Every morning I feel a thrill as I think once again of Jesus risen. So here's a video to reflect on during this continuing Easter season. Rejoice and be glad for He is truly risen from the dead and seated at the right hand of God!

With More Information Coming Out About the Boston Bombing...

Posted on 14:51 by Unknown
...Let's call for a ban on pressure cookers.

And while we're talking about pressure cookers, Al Qaeda has taught would be terrorists how to use pressure cookers for home made bombs for years. The Department of Homeland Security was so concerned about the international terror connection, they issued an alert as early as 2004 about pressure cooker bombs. The 2010 NYC SUV bomb that failed to explode was also a pressure cooker bomb. So, while the perpetrators of this horror are still unknown, it's certainly a realistic possibility that this is another radical Islamic attack. Now wouldn't that be a surprise?

Wow! They Couldn't Cover Kermit Gosnell, the serial abortionist killer...

Posted on 13:21 by Unknown
...but the Huffington Post had plenty to say about Erik Rush and his sarcastic comment about Muslim terrorism. What a bunch of hypocrites! Did anybody notice HuffPost object to Chris Matthews' speculation five minutes after the bombing that it was "far right" domestic terrorists? Apparently, implying that a terrorist act is the work of Christians or Tea Party folks is okay, but not Muslim extremists. I think both sides should shut up, but Erik Rush is getting the hate treatment for his insensitive comments. Gosh...imagine...the kind and compassionate liberal left getting a hate on! Who wudda thunk it?

Hypocrites at HuffPost Finally Pull Back the Curtain and Come Clean!

Huffington Post: “We Made a Decision Not to Cover the Gosnell Trial”

The video on this website is interesting because the lies go on and on. Alex Seitz of Salon has the utter gall to claim that the feminists see Gosnell as basically going back to the back alley and he's the reason we need "safe, legal abortion."

Hello!  Earth to Alex. Gosnell WAS one of those guys offering so-called safe, legal abortion. And it's the abortion establishment that opposes every effort to regulate abortion mills. If Gosnell's abortion mill wasn't inspected for 17 years, it's because the abortion movement OPPOSES any meaningful regulation.

Seitz sets up a dichotomy with "Planned Parenthood" as though women seeking abortion can expect to be treated better at PP. Is he kidding? Check out PP's atrocities here (killing Tonya Reeves in botched abortion in Chicago) and here (filthy "meat market" in Wilmington) and here (botched forced abortion in Colorado) and here (botched abortion in VA Beach) and here (three botched abortions between Thanksgiving and Christmas at St. Louis PP!) and here (botched abortion, ectopic pregnancy misdiagnosed) and here (list of ambulance visits to PP over 20 months). Planned Parenthood does about 40% of the abortions in the U.S. Investigators have uncovered unsanitary conditions, massive Medicaid fraud, botched abortions, massive cover up of statutory rape, etc. This is what Alex Seitz considers "safe" abortion?

Watch this interesting video. It's good to see the media FINALLY talking about Kermit Gosnell. Troy Newman of Operation Rescue West does a great job of presenting the pro-life side of the debate.

Fr. Peter Cameron: What Would You Prefer?

Posted on 05:33 by Unknown
Recently, I came across Fr. Peter Cameron, O.P.'s keynote address at a year of faith meeting in the Raleigh Archdiocese. Fr. Cameron is a Dominican and editor of the wonderful daily prayer book, Magnificat. In the course of his address, Fr. Cameron mentioned a test given by a teacher friend to his students who often professed to be indifferent to their faith seeing it as "irrelevant." (Fr. Cameron begins discussing the test at 19:05 in the video below.) So he developed a "test" for his students -- no right or wrong answers -- it's a preference test. He instructed them to choose the answer they preferred, not what they thought or believed to be true, but which they preferred of the two options for each question.

So here it is.

Question 1: Which possibility is better for you? (Not what you think is true or believe is true.) Which would you prefer?
       A. When someone you love dies that's it. You will never see them again.
       B. When someone you love dies they somehow live on. You have the possibility of seeing them again because you have the possibility of living on.

Question 2: Which would you prefer?
        A. Your limitless desire for happiness will be answered continually forever.
        B. Your limitless desire for happiness will last for your biological life and then your desires and you will be destroyed by death.

Question 3: Which would you prefer?
        A. You are loved.
        B. You are not loved.

Question 4: Which would you prefer?
        A. There is a God who created all of reality and who loves you like a father and wants you to exist.
        B. Life is accidental. Outside of what you see and touch there is nothing that cares if you exist.

Question 5: Which would you prefer?
        A. Your value depends on your abilities. People who have greater abilities than you are more valuable than you. When you lose your abilities, your value will diminish.
        B. Your value comes from the fact that there is a God who wants you to exist. He loves you like a Father and so even when your abilities are not the best and other people don't think that you valuable He still loves and values you.

Question 6: Which would you prefer?
         A. God exists but in this life can never be known.
         B. God exists and can be known and experienced in this life.

Fr. Cameron concluded, "If you answer those questions honestly from your heart, where do they all point to? They point to the Son of God becoming incarnate in Jesus Christ Who walked among us and called us His friend and gives us His flesh to eat. There is nothing that we want, that we desire, that we prefer that isn't fulfilled in the flesh of His humanity which He can't stop giving to us. What the test shows is that, if we dare to live our humanness  at the level of our deepest desires...all of our desires lead us then to this Lord. Our desires reveals to us infallibly that we are made for God and we cannot.truly be ourselves without Him."

Listen to the whole address. It's worth every minute!

Preserve Us, Lord, from an Unprovided Death

Posted on 18:25 by Unknown
If you were caught in a terrorist situation tomorrow and, God forbid, were killed, would you be ready?

The very worst thing for any of us is, not to lose his life, but to lose eternal salvation. And that means, we need to be ready. Pray to St. Joseph that you will be ready at the moment of your death -- whether it is expected as the final end of a serious illness or is a shocking surprise from an accident or an act of violence.

Fr. Z did a great post on being ready. As he said, "A sudden death can be a blessing. A sudden and unprovided death is a horrifying prospect." I'm working on my relationship with St. Joseph, the patron of a happy death.

PRAYER FOR A HAPPY DEATH

O Glorious St. Joseph, behold I choose thee today for my special patron in life and at the hour of my death. Preserve and increase in me the spirit of prayer and fervor in the service of God. Remove far from me every kind of sin; obtain for me that my death may not come upon me unawares, but that I may have time to confess my sins sacramentally and to bewail them with a most perfect understanding and a most sincere and
perfect contrition, in order that I may breathe forth my soul into the hands of Jesus and Mary. Amen

Was Islamic Iran Behind the Boston Bombings?

Posted on 14:45 by Unknown
And if they were, would government officials tell the truth? Here's what World Net Daily is reporting:
Although it is not known yet who is responsible for Monday’s heinous bombings at the Boston Marathon that killed three and injured more than 100 people, a source within Iranian intelligence services told WND the Islamic regime was behind them and to look for trails through Sri Lanka and Bangladesh....Although the Islamic regime has long warned that America will not be safe from its reach and that it must not only accept Iran’s nuclear program but also end its support for the opposition in Syria, there is no proven link yet between Boston and Tehran.

Chris Matthews Foams at the Mouth -- Again!

Posted on 11:50 by Unknown
Chris Matthews never misses an opportunity to opine that the "far right" are guilty of  terror acts. Before the smoke had even cleared in Boston, before police have any idea who perpetrated the atrocity, Matthews, in his typical demagogue style, was accusing "far right domestic terrorists." Somebody get the guy a muzzle. Nobody knows right now who did it. This morning The New York Times reported how little information is currently available. The options are open:
"The bombs could have been set off by radical Islamists from the United States influenced by events or clerics in the Middle East, local extremists on either the left or right, or deranged killers with no ideological agenda."
Hey, maybe it was Chris Matthews? Was he itching for another opportunity to attack the "far right?" Have the Boston cops checked his whereabouts? If it's a-okay to speculate about who did it with nary an iota of evidence, I guess it's okay for somebody to speculate that character assassin Chris Matthews may be movin' on up to the real thing.

Gosnell Abortion Case Finally Gets Media Notice

Posted on 11:21 by Unknown
Massive tweets have finally garnered the attention of national media to Kermit Gosnell, the Hannibal Lecter of abortion (not the only one to be sure). Embarrassment apparently did it. After all, how do the papers that claim to provide all the news ignore one of the bloodiest horror stories ever?

And more:

Pinocchios for the Washington Post

Excuses from a Post reporter: (Give us a break, Capeheart!)
"Ultimately, the conspiracy of silence on Gosnell lies not with the press. It lies with the workers at the clinic who allegedly participated in barbarous acts or allegedly watched them happen and said nothing. It lies with members of the community who knew about the alleged deplorable activity and conditions at “Women’s Medical Society” and said nothing. And it lies with Philadelphia and Pennsylvania officials who fielded numerous credible complaints about Gosnell and did nothing."
Another Post reporter is more honest.
"I say we didn’t write more because the only abortion story most outlets ever cover in the news pages is every single threat or perceived threat to abortion rights. In fact, that is so fixed a view of what constitutes coverage of that issue that it’s genuinely hard, I think, for many journalists to see a story outside that paradigm as news. That’s not so much a conscious decision as a reflex, but the effect is one-sided coverage."
Let's hope the mainstream media with egg on their faces decides to cover this on-going gruesome story. They can claim they aren't biased, but we all know where the media stands on "reproductive rights" and on "gay marriage." Either they are so blinded by their bias they actually don't see it or they are so committed to pushing their agenda they don't care. Thank God for alternative media. At least it prevents a total blackout -- U.S. Pravda style.
